ABC books fall premieres: 'Grey's' cliffhanger ends Sept. 24
Did Izzie really kick the bucket on the "Grey's Anatomy" season finale? You'll be able to find out for sure on Thursday, Sept. 24.
ABC on Tuesday (June 9) announced premiere dates for the bulk of its fall 2009 schedule, and it's sticking to a fairly traditional rollout. The majority of the schedule will debut the week of Sept. 21, which will mark the official start of the season as determined by Nielsen.
Highlights include a pair of two-hour "Dancing with the Stars" shows on Sept. 21 and 22, new comedies "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" on Sept. 23 and the resolution of the "Grey's" cliffhanger, along with the premiere of "Flash Forward," on Sept. 24. "Ugly Betty" will join the party a little later, getting a two-hour premiere on Oct. 9.
ABC will also roll out its unscripted series "Shark Tank" in late summer, starting Sunday, Aug. 9. It will air on Sundays for three weeks, then move to its regular Tuesday home on Aug. 25.
The network also held off on setting dates for three shows -- newcomer "Eastwick," which will air at 10 p.m. ET Wednesdays, and returnees "Private Practice" (10 p.m. Thursdays) and "Brothers & Sisters" (10 p.m. Sundays). Okay, I'm a little confused. In the top part it says Dancing with the Stars is September 21 & 22 and yet below in the rundown, it's listed as September 21 and 23rd. Me thinks there's a mistake somewhere.....
dancing with the stars premieres September 21, continuing the next day and on september 23 premieres Dancing with the stars: the results show... I think...........
My bad, Linda. I goofed and didn't put the Tuesday performance show in the list. Fixing now.
Needing my Castle fix
Can't wait. Also Grey's Anatomy as well.
Definitely counting the days until the Grey's Anatomy opener, the LOST season premiere, The is it Susan or is it Catherine under the wedding veil reveal on Desperate Housewives and several of the new shows. I think ABC clearly has the most potential in its new shows. Modern Family, Hank, Flash Forward, The Forgotten, Cougar Town (loved that commercial they played during the NBA series), and the Shark Tank competition all scored on my list of shows to check out.
ABC has the best shows this fall. Also looking forward to GLEE on FOX.
