VIDEO: 'V' first look
ABC has abducted Elizabeth Mitchell from "Lost" to visit "V," their re-imagining of the popular '80s sci-fi miniseries.
For those who may not recall, the series centered on aliens who call themselves The Visitors and try to live in peace with us earthlings. Crazy stuff happens when it appears that their agenda might be a little, shall we say, evil?
The show also stars Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Lourdes Benedicto, Logan Huffman, Laura Vandervoort, Morena Baccarin and Scott Wolf .
Check out this first look at "V":
What do you think? Were you a fan of the original?

ok, i did not watch the original, but i'm not sure what the clapping is about....
Ok, the face in the sky as if people are looking at it up from between the buildings just looks horrible.
I plan to watch but for the love of God, fix those scenes! LOL
I used to love this show when I was in school. I mainly remember the atrotious acting of Marc Singer, though. He would take a deep breath before every line. It used to crack me up. Jane Badler played the main villain, and I remember thinking she was really pretty, but in an eevviilll way! LOL
I am excited. Loved the original and think this could be great. I hope Elizabeth Mitchell is still on Lost though.
JLyne, I watched the original and I still do not know why they are clapping in the scene. Is it because the people are relieved that they won't be killed? It looked a little hokey to me.
Please, for the love of "V", include Jane Badler again!! A cameo by Marc Singer would be greatly appreciated also.
I'm a huge fan of the original. I wonder if the aliens will be lizard people again. A Jane Badler appearance would be awesome! I wonder if Robert England would do a guest cameo?!
I enjoyed the original miniseries (though it must seems as dated as the original Battlestar Galactica by now) but one of the things I remember most are the utter atrocious production values of the short-lived series that was commissioned off the back of the success of the mini-series. I swear they didn't create a single new special effect for the whole series, reusing the ones from the mini-series over and over again!
Hahaha, I thought Elizabeth Mitchell, with her perfectly immobile Botoxed-face was going to be one of the aliens, not one of the humans. I'm into science fiction so I'll give this show a shot. It's going to be a mid-season mini-series, right? So we won't see this until Feb 2010.
I enjoyed the original miniseries too, though I was a kid and watched most of it from between my fingers, lol. The only specific thing I remember from it was Robert England in an alley eating a mouse. Great to see Morena Baccarin back on TV, hope the show is successful!
