Alexoloughlin_threerivers_290 "Three Rivers" has to be the most highly anticipated medical drama in a while -- not for its premise, but for star Alex O'Loughlin.

The hunky Australian actor won hearts as a vampire on CBS' "Moonlight" and now he's swapping out hearts as organ transplant surgeon Dr. Andy Yablonski on "Three Rivers."

The show balances the doctor's lives with the race against the clock in order to save their patients, but in the end, the real draw that sets the show apart from other medical dramas is O'Loughlin.

Take a look:

Your thoughts? Is Alex just as magical here or does he need that vampiric pallor?

I dunno I'm gonna miss Mick but this show looks pretty good.

If Kate Moenning is in it I will be there!!!!

Three Rivers looks amazing, I can't wait to have Alex back on TV! GO ALEX!

I am excited to have Alex back on TV. The show looks really good and I hope CBS gives it the publicity it deserves. Mick and the rest of Moonlight will always be in my heart but I can't wait for the fall and Three Rivers. I think this is going to be Alex's year and he deserves it.

I'm really excited about this show. It looks awesome, and no - Alex doesn't need the vampiric pallor to shine. He'll shine in whatever role he chooses. Dr Andy should be a good fit for him.

I don't see what the big deal is about o'Loughlin - I watched exactly ten minutes of Twilight once and it was crap.

I'm watching the show for Kate Moennig. She's the one and only reason I stuck with the L Word for its entire run and I'll stick with her playing Miranda Foster for however long 3R lasts, as well.

Yippeee!!! So cool to see some footage!! So glad to see Alex back on tv!

Looks pretty boring to me. Too similar to other shows that are now off the air. But... why is every lead actor on a show these days, a European?

This won't last long. Boring. Nothing new. Oh, but wait, maybe...they'll start making a big thing of the personal lives of the doctors, THEN it will be...more of the same.

Katefan-Alex's show was not Twilight, but Moonlight--

Sajie--

Alex is Australian, not European, although his costar is

If you are going to criticize something, at least pretend you know what you are talking about.
