VIDEO: 'Nurse Jackie' first look
Just when you thought everything had been done for the medical drama genre, television gives us another take -- this time from the nurse's perspective.
Showtime brings us "Nurse Jackie" a dark comedy with Edie Falco as Jackie Peyton, a strong-willed, but very flawed emergency room nurse in a New York City hospital. A lapsed Catholic with an occasional weakness for Vicodin and Adderall to get her through the days, Jackie keeps the hospital balanced with her own kind of justice. Every day is a high wire act of juggling patients, doctors, fellow nurses and her own indiscretions. The series also stars Eve Best, Peter Facinelli, Merritt Wever, Haaz Sleiman and Paul Schulze. Catch a glimpse...

The show will never be a hit for 2 reasons;
#1 It's on "Showtime"
#2 She's ugly
This looks excellent. I can't wait to see it.
this show looks like it could join UNITED STATES OF TARA and TRUE BLOOD as one of the best new shows of 2008-2009
Saw the first ep. It was excellent! #1 Showtime has some great shows and this will be the best new show of the season. #2 Edie Falco is a wonderful actress and this is the perfect part for her. Superb!
Twitter is like a breath of fresh air on the Social Media scene. I have been on it for just a few weeks now and I have met several interesting people. It is a platform to network with people you would like to meet in real life.

Looks fantastic!!!! As a nurse myself all I can say that it's about time!!!!!!
Hmm she does look ugly but nurses these days are usually from foreign countries. I prefer a show that shows the ethnic diversity in the hospitals. Ex. Doctors now are from India,Pakistan, China etc., Nurses now are from Philippines, south america, eastern european etc.
