'The Real Housewives' goes to Washington
Move over, Michelle Obama. Some other D.C. matriarchs will be getting the spotlight.
Bravo announced that it's developing a new "The Real Housewives" edition, this time set in our nation's capital.
"We're tapping personalities who are among Washington D.C.'s influential players, cultural connoisseurs, fashion sophisticates and philanthropic leaders," says Bravo's Frances Berwick, "the people who rub elbows with the most prominent people in the country and easily move in the city's diverse political and social circles."
Bravo is currently scouting the area for likely candidates for the show.
So far, there's no word on just how political the show could get, although we're already looking forward to the power suits. Oh, and if we can get another housewife with a title like Countess, that would be awesome.
Do you think this is a good idea? Would you watch? Are there too many of these shows already?

Bravo may as well change their name to The Real Housewives channel.
maybe this one will actually have truly interesting housewives. yes, this show is getting too much. this latest NJ one has the lamest, most petty small-minded set of housewives ever (well, except for Atlanta too). lame.
anyone worth their salt in DC will never go on this show anyway....
There's is only one Housewives brand that is diverse, so DC Housewives have to be. P.G. County, Maryland is where the wealthiest African Americans in the U.S. live; In Mitchellville, Bowie, Silver Spring, Laurel. This show should be filled with diverse and fabulously messy women
