'30 Rock' & 'The Office' ...that's all I need
Haven't yet finished watching "Grey's" and "Parks and Rec" is still on my to-do list, but "The Office" & "30 Rock" alone were enough to make Thursday TV's finest night...
Dwight paying Pam's replacement to pretend she'd won an art contest? Not cool?
Oh, I beg to differ, PB&J. You two can dish it out, but when Schrute pulls a little prank, it's not cool?
Come on. That was one of the best laughs of the evening.
Also high on the list? Liz Lemon, Pete Hornberger and Toofer trying to solve the mystery of Tracy's real age (because it's so hard to tell with black people, of course):
L: Okay, what about this... maybe Tracy is 60.
H: No, that's ridiculous.
L: Think about it. He can't rap. He has diabetes. A lot of his friends are dead...
H: He falls asleep in chairs. He doesn't know how to use a computer. He's always mad at the TV!
T: His favorite show is "NCIS".
L: (Gasp) He might be 70!
HA! An "NCIS" joke!
Honorable mentions go to Ed Helms for Andy Bernard's very commendable performance in the Cafe Disco dance off, to Ryan the Temp for taking a lesson from every good anorexic and using food to feel in control of his life, to whomever came up with the idea for "30 Rock"'s spoof on "Mamma Mia" (brilliant) and to Angela Martin for spouting this sentence: "I hate to be that person, but I just don't like the general spirit of music."Oh, and shout out to "Last Comic Standing"'s Amy Schumer, whom you probably missed if you don't have a super keen TV eye, but she had one of the best throwaway lines of the night. Playing the makeup artist trying to get Liz ready for a magazine photo shoot, she tugged the skin of Lemon's face back as best she could and uttered, "Ugh, I'm gonna get some tape."

I had the total opposite reaction to The Office. Greys saved the thursday for me, after ok 30 Rock, crappy The Office (totally not funny) and so-so Smallvile.
Amy Schumer was also in an episode of "Cupid" last week, I think, as the drunk girlfriend of a parole officer in love with a criminal. She needs to do more!
To me its like apples and tomatoes....ABC'S programs being apples and the CW'S also and NBC'S the tomatoes ...one is fruit and one is not. That which is marketed on NBC as comedy doesn't work for me and Southland is like a wet blanket.Greys is far superior and more palatable even Smallville and Supernatural.
Not to sound too much like a troll, but seriously how can anyone like Grey's Anatomy? Yeah the actors are hot, but some of their motivations are so self centered it really turns me off. and how about the fact that Seattle Grace has to be the worst hospital in the history of TV. Having the chief complain that it fell in the rankings in that one episode made me laugh. I was like, "Dude, almost half the patients that go to your hospital DIE! And let's not forget the bomb that blew up in your OR, or the fact that your residents operated on each other." The mortality rate at that hospital would make Dr. Kevorkian go, "I think I can go retire now."
30 Rock is seriously one of the best shows on television. There really isn't a episode of 30 Rock I haven't liked.. how you can compare it to Grey's I'm not sure. Completely different television. I can't handle George or Izzie on Grey's so it get's tivod so I can fast forward if I need to.
6 minutes into Parks & Rec and it's hilair... Also 6 drinks into my Friday night... But no, I'm good, really, it's funny. It's good stuff. Parks and Rec! Yay!
I saw it once and I thought it was drivel, but NBC is desperate to keep stuff on the air for the sake of just doing so. Just my opinion.
The Office was super funny, love that show. and unlike most ppl, i like Parks and Rec (yay to Korbi for the good word). sometimes the show seems a little aimless, but it's got a lot of great moments. i think it could be really good if it finds its footing. this week was the best epi so far i think.
