Susan Boyle loses 'Britain's Got Talent' to Diversity
Susan Boyle sang "I Dreamed a Dream" again in the finals of "Britain's Got Talent," but in the end that dream wasn't realized.
The Scottish singer was the first runner-up, losing to high-energy dance troupe Diversity on Saturday for the third season of "Britain's Got Talent.".
Although many seemed shocked that Boyle only came in second, fans assume that Boyle will be assured of a contract and a future in singing anyway.
"The best people won," Boyle said. "They are very entertaining lads. I wish you all the best."

Some speculate that singing "Dream" again in the finals was "too safe" and cost Boyle the win. Others blame a backlash against the singer for her overexposure in the media.
Third place went to soprano saxophonist Julian Smith.
The other seven acts in the final included: 11-year-old dancer Aidan Davis, father-son comedy/dance duo Stavros Flatley, dance troupe Flawless, 12-year-old singer Shaheen Jafargholi, singer Shaun Smith, singer Hollie Steel and grandfather/granddaughter singing act "2 Grand."
At an "America's Got Talent" press event in April, creator Simon Cowell said that whoever won "Britain's Got Talent" had a chance to visit the U.S. version of the show -- so Boyle had a chance if she had won. It's uncertain whether or not as the runner-up if she'll still get an invitation.
The new season of "America's Got Talent" premieres on Tuesday, June 23 on NBC.
What do you think? Are you satisfied with the results?

I will not watch, or keep up with, this show again!
What a heartbreak and let down! Susan is still the best no matter what! The world's treasure comes from people like Susan. I wish her all the best!
I am absolutely disappointed in the outcome. I believe Susan deserved the win,to be first place. With all due credit to diversity - this lady should have been first pick. There'll not be another one like her. To Suasan - thank you for showing us what true love, grace and real talent is. You have won the hearts of millions. I'll be looking forward to your CD and other TV performances. We are blessed in your talents - thank you.
The Diversity Stunk! If this is called dancing then what is true dancing? How could they win over Susan Boye who truly has talented, the dance group stinks to high heaven, they need to go and learn how to dance! The win by this goup is a a disgrace to real talent. Too me it was nothing but a much of guys and gals jumping around on stage. Britian does not have talent! They deserve the finger!
Well all I can say is Congratulations to Diversity. I loved them from the very beginning. Though Susan Boyle is a good singer, she's absolutely crackers!!
i wish Susan Boyle would've won.
She lost to THAT?!
RIP-OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!
Say what!? That's just wrong. If Susan Boyle hadn't become the overnight international phenomenon no one would have ever heard of Diversity. They were good, but not Susan Boyle good. Whatever. Many times the winner of competitions is never heard from again and the second place goes on to a brilliant career. Clearly, that will be the case here.
I hope Susan will come to America where she will be really appreciated. I would love to go see her sing.
