'Scrubs' season 8 finale: You totally cried, don't lie
Damn "Book of Love" song. I mean, I was in tears 30 minutes into the episode when J.D. and Carla did their whole thank you/goodbye thing. But once the "Book of Love" montage began? I haven't bawled like that over a series finale since Alex P. Keaton left Ohio for New York. Listen, I lost it. Like a lunatic baby.
Brilliant choice to end the hour with J.D.'s hopeful fantasies of the future as opposed to the usual sentimental flashbacks, by the way.
I did enjoy the first season scenes they threw in at the beginning of the episode though... J.D. and Elliot so skinny and awkward-looking. Weird how Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke -- just like their characters -- have actually grown into adults while hanging out at Sacred Heart over the last eight years.
So, thoughts? Were you satisfied with the season ender? Would you want to see the show continue next year even though J.D. would just show up every now and then?

Can ´t write... still crying!
the finale of scrubs has to go down as one of the best endings in television history! i cried and laughed, and cried some more like a baby! i will definitely miss the relationships between JD and the rest of the hospital crew. Great writing, directing, acting, etc...Definitely an A+++++
I cried like a baby. I hope they continue with Season Nine and introduce the interns as main characters. I really like the blonde chick and Sunny.
The episode was a bit long for my taste: too much time, too litle plot, but towards the end it picked momentum and the last 10 minutes were totally worth it.
Now I'm undecided if I want ABC to renew the show. Don't get me wrong, I think Donald Faison can carry the show on his shoulders, but it'd water down this emotional finale.
Sarah Chawke is one of the most beautiful women on TV.
Totally agree with Karl. Like JD says, "she's my dream girl"
I bawled too. My eyes still mist thinking about the season finale and if anyone talks about it at the water cooler hangout, I'm going to lose it. Goodbye JD, its been a wonderful 8 years!
Loved the scene with the Janitor revealing his name "you never asked", and JD's book for Dr. Cox.
My galfriend and I watched with appletinis in one hand and kleenex in the other. It was beautiful and awesome. A perfect ending for an extraordinary show. I'll miss it, but I'm now firmly against it returning because last night could just never be topped. Well done guys. Thanks ABC for letting Scrubs end on its own terms and doing right by its faithful fans. Cheers!
The Janitor's name was revealed - so is the show's fate sealed. Didn't Bill Lawrence say something about when the janitor's name is revealed, he'd end the show. Glenn Matthews is our janitor's name. I still say that the characters J.D. and Turk made/make the show, they're a team and w/o both, I wouldn't be motivated to watch.
