PICS & POLL: How will the next generation of 'Star Trek' rate?
There have been six "Star Trek" series and 10 films, and now the world is holding its breath to see the next big-screen adapatation that made the United Federation of Planets a household term.
Until May 7, we'll only have trailers and images to give us glimpses into the sci-fi flick. So rating its greatness will have to wait until then, but from what we can tell so far, "Star Trek" looks to be one heck of a summer ride.
OK, so the last photo kind of looks like Kirk is in his jammies, but things like that are forgotten when you see clips like these...

Actually, I am very, very excited about this new Star Trek movie and its cast just as I was excited about the TV series - Stark Trek: The Next Generation and its cast. I count myself being a Trekker so I can't wait. I have seen every incarnation of this franchise since the original. I'll have to admit my slight disappointment with Star Trek: Enterprise. Somehow or other, I just didn't connect emotionally with any of the characters.
I've seen it at an early screening, and it's GREAT and it's going to do huge business.
This looks brill it will be a blockbuster!
