TwitterPaulina Porizkova: 'America's Next Top Model' fired me
Get your fill of Paulina Porizkova on the "America's Next Top Model" finale Wednesday -- because that's the last time you'll be seeing her on the show.
In an appearance on CBS' "Late Late Show" Tuesday night, Porizkova told host Craig Ferguson that The CW show has dropped her as a judge.
"Do you know why I'm in Los Angeles?" she asked Ferguson "... Because I'm looking for a job, because I was fired by 'America's Next Top Model' -- on my birthday."
Porizkova has been a judge on "Top Model" for the past three cycles, filling the "retired supermodel" spot on the panel that was previously held by Twiggy and Janice Dickinson. She said on "The Late Late Show" that when she was let go last month, she was told the show "needed to cut some fat, and the fat was me."
"It could have been either that or my gigantic, huge ego," she said. "Which I wasn't aware of before I was told by the producers that I had an ego problem."
A CW rep confirmed Wednesday morning that "Paulina is no longer with the show."
Ferguson jokingly wondered if the show let her go because of a rivalry between Porizkova and host/executive producer Tyra Banks, but Porizkova wouldn't take that bait: "I really believe they just felt like they didn't need me, which of course they don't. So that's OK."

Paulina was fired because she doesn't have a stupid enough name--everyone on that show is named things like Toffeelicious or Beelzebubble or Muffaletta or Lickieloo. "Paulina is too normal".
she was okay, nothing exciting. i'd rather have jay manuel added to the panel than another model.
I agree with Renee, Mr Jay should be added to the panel - we ALL love him. I did like Paulina, I felt she was the best "older" model they had.
Ack! I really liked Paulina. She was really smart, gave good commentary, wasn't really *****y about it and was funny without trying to be a character. I think Mr. Jay is boooooring. We need another woman on the panel to balance out Tyra.

that's the problem, trying to balance out Tyra. it's impossible i think (and not in a good way). and she hates to share the spotlight. i wish they'd get rid of Tyra and this whole dumb show.
Jay Manuel would be awesome to have on the judging panel. He does a good job of it. So glad we have him as the host of Canada's Next Top Model. Woo hoo!
Honestly I like this show but I have not enjoyed the last two seasons as much as the earlier ones. I think Tyra has gotten extremely EGO CENTRIC (and I am a Tyra fan) but I think it is getting old when she says "Like when I was asked to blah blah blah, I blah blah blah"...know what I mean?
It's all for the better. Paulina's too cl***y to be on such a stupid show. Tyra's such an egomaniac. "TYRA MAIL!..." Oh Gawd, hearing that just makes me puke.
so don't watch the show if you don't like it! Duh...
i loved paulina as a judge, i will miss her! mr jay would be a good addition, but since they cut paulina for costs i wouldn't bet on them getting another.
ANTM does have its problems, but nonetheless it is a great show.
