'One Tree Hill': Will Hilarie Burton come back as a guest star?
We know Hilarie Burton will not return to "One Tree Hill" as a series regular next season, but is it possible Peyton may pop back up on the show again?
Burton's answer: "Never say never."
In an interview with EW.com's Michael Ausiello, Hilarie makes it clear that reports of behind-the-scenes turmoil and contract negotiation drama were greatly exaggerated and that she leaves the show feeling very lucky to have been a part of it.
Burton even stated that "everyone was kind of agreeable about the situation" and because -- spoiler alert -- the writers didn't kill Lucas or Peyton off, an occasional guest appearance is still a possibility.
She also mentioned that she's keeping her business down in North Carolina -- where the show shoots -- so she'll be in the neighborhood.
So, you know, I'd say the return of Peyton at some point next year is more than possible.
Having met Hilarie Burton a couple times and seeing first hand how much she cares about "OTH," I'd say Peyton stopping by Tree Hill again is probable. But that's just my prediction...

Can you please get to the bottom of what happened? Hilarie sounds very nice, but her answers were so vague that it was impossible to tell if she wanted to leave or how much they attempted to get her to stay.
Probable but is it realistic. I would think some even would have to go down like when Karen returns occasionally. At least she's willing. Sounds like CMM is a bit bitter with his "no comment" stuff.
J: I'll tell you what happened. Regardless of the spin the network is trying to put on it, and Hilarie trying to swipe it under the rug for them, THIS IS ALL ON THE CW AND ON CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY. Originally, he didn't want to come back, so the CW decided they would write both off. Chad had a change of heart, but could not come to an agreement with the network over contracts. So to sum it up, she got fired. She really didn't have much say in the matter.
I hope she guest stars next season. It's the only way I will tune in to that network again.

It sucks that Hilarie got fired basically because of CMM. They could of easily of given her a new love interest and moved Lucas to Hollywood I know people think that is crazy but come on its basically a teen soap opera.
I am still waiting to hear from CMM! I bet he is the one with the money problems!

Hilarie and Chad both turned down SUBSTANTIAL raises because they wanted more. Their demands just weren't realistic. And yes, I know this for a fact.
