Mickey Rourke paints 'Mona Lisa'
Mickey Rourke is getting in touch with his inner gangster.
Since his star turn in 2008's "The Wrestler," Rourke's career has enjoyed a resurgence. Latest on his plate is an updated version of "Mona Lisa," according to Variety.
Rourke will play an ex-con whose prison time dropped him to the bottom of the criminal underworld's pecking order. (Who among us can't relate?) To cope, he signs on as driver for a high-class escort. The two inevitably get in over their heads while trying to boost their criminal reps.
"Casino Royale" co-star Eva Green is in talks to play the escort.
The 1986 original, written and directed by Neil Jordan, starred Bob Hoskins and Cathy Tyson in the lead roles.
