Twitter'Jon & Kate' roundup: Jon's $5 allowance, the kids and J.Lo
Jon and Kate Gosselin's decision to air their crumbling marriage and their eight children's lives means that the media firestorm isn't dying out anytime soon.
The fifth season premiere of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" has fueled even more interest in the couple. Check out the latest news on the Gosselins:
- Kate Gosselin allegedly used to only give Jon a $5 allowance (no wonder he was obsessed with freebies!) [Usmagazine.com]
- Jason, the eloquent ("Ick. Nast.") brother of Deanna Hummel, calls Jon a "liar" for denying cheating on Kate [E! Online]
- Now that TLC is getting boffo ratings with "Jon & Kate," they've canned their J.Lo reality project. [TMZ]
- The kids are acting out -- especially the boys, Mady and Cara -- in fear of their dad leaving for good. [Star]

Are these Republicans? The media is really going after them.
Everyone needs to let their relationship be private. They need the privacy so they can either reconcile or end things without all the media attention. What is on the show is what they choose to air. All the tabloids, pap. photogs and non-tlc related media need to but out. If I ran TLC I'd start suing over copyrights.
Do you know how to stop the media firestorm? Stop posting junk like this. This is FAR from news.
This website loves to point out how the media is ruining Jon and Kate's lives, yet they cannot go a day without posting some gossip.
Apparently zap2it is the new tabloid rag that Jon was complaining about.
I think that jon had a great idea to give the children a $5.00 allowance after all they do have chores to do and it's great way of getting them to save their money by opening up a back acct.
How come TL from above can harshly criticize this site and other posters call Kate vile names and say other hateful things in other related threads on this site and NOT get their posts removed by a moderator? I state my knowledgeable opinion of the couple in a concise, to the point paragraph without getting ill. Then boom, my comments apparently strike a nerve with someone the wrong way and my two cents mysteriously vanish into thin air? (even after I wished good fortune for the poor, innocent kids during this trying time for the family)
The media is going after them because they asked for it, being on a reality show for four years...
I don't condone the smearing of people, but they are not innocent victims here. If they wanted a private life, they could have kept it private in the first place.
so erb, just THEY get to choose what the public sees? and since when is fame a one-way street? sorry, but they don't mind all the $$ and benefits. oh, but they don't want the other side of fame? sorry, but that's what happens when ppl CHOOSE (and yes, they CHOSE) to open up their lives for public consumption (and get paid for it).
