'Grey's Anatomy': Whose wedding is it anyway?
Who's really getting married on 'Grey's Anatomy' next Thursday? We've been led to believe it's Meredith and McDreamy, but it's totally Alex and Izzie, isn't it? Look, Denny's back this week... which means Izzie's not getting better. And Alex has been all doting and supportive. It makes sense...
BTW -- and you know I don't give 'Grey's' compliments unless really due -- solid episode last night, no? Was good to see the Chief's history with Meredith's family explored in such an emotional manner. Loved the Lexie-Mark stuff, subtle and sweet. And I thought Sharon Lawrence delivered just the right amount of over-the-top as Izzie's mom. Nice hour.

I dropped out of Grey's a while ago, but have come back once Izzie was diagnosed. The big thing for me was the thorough and heart-felt apology from the Chief to Meredith for not helping her when she was a child, contrasted with her father's very generic apology which was kind of along the lines of, "If I did anything to offend anyone, I'm sorry," which is more of a non-apology. I thought the scene between the Chief and Meredith was one of the highlights of the night. A very strong episode altogether, I thought, with lots of positive character development for a change.
I loved the Lexie Mark stuff too. It really showed a thoughtful maturation when he decided to show up at dinner to meet Lexie's father, just because it meant so much to her.
I agree with you. It was a solid episode last night. Makes me feel like it was the old Grey's. Oh, and that part with Cristina and Owen was heartbreaking.
Grey's is getting good again. I enjoy the Mark and Lexie chemistry and the dinner scene and hand holding was very romantic and thoughtful.
And yay Alex and Izzie are totally getting married. I wish we would see more Alex's point of view and I liked when he did the voice over a few episodes back. They should do that more.
It was a pretty good episode, not feeling Mark and Lexie pairing. I wish they would end it. I love that Mark is getting some meaty scenes, but when he's with Callie you actually care what's going on. Don't see that with Lexie. Izzie sold this episode for me! KH rocked it!
I, too, LOVE the Lexie-Mark hook-up. They're so sweet together. Re Izzie - if she is NOT getting better, does that mean she's gonna die..?? Would really miss her. Why can't they just make her better and be a doctor again..?? Or is that too boring..?? Oh, well... Let's get Lexie & Mark married - that'll be exciting..!!
Oh, and don't care for the Christina-Owen thing. Only because I don't care for Christina - she's such a *****. Preston was a good match for her - he was strong enough to keep her grounded -whereas Owen has a weakness problem. Altho' must admit that Sandra Oh plays the Christina character really well. So well, I get to intensely dislike her.
