'Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends' says goodbye

Cartoon Network has outgrown "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends," and the show bids farewell with a marathon Sunday, May 3, including five brand-new episodes.

In the world of "Foster's Home," a child's imaginary friend becomes real, having a physical presence. This means that the friend who is eventually abandoned, must find a place to live when the child gets older. Enter Madame Foster, who has set up her Victorian mansion for the more than 1,000 imaginary friends, including her own and Mac's friend Bloo.

"Foster's Home" has won five Emmy awards and five Annie awards since its debut in a 2004 television movie. The cartoon is also a favorite among the Zap2it staff (or at least with Hanh Nguyen) for its participation in the Thanksgiving Day 2008 Rick Astley parade Rickroll. The show's character Eduardo even landed on Zap2it's list of underrated stars for 2006.

The marathon begins at 1 p.m. ET/PT with the new episodes beginning at 4:30 p.m. Details about the new episodes follow:

4:30 p.m. - "The Bloo Superdude & The Great Creator of Everything's Awesome Ceremony of Fun That He's Not Invited To"
5:00 p.m. - "Bad Dare Day"
5:30 p.m. - "Read 'Em and Weep"
6:00 p.m. - "Fools and Regulations"
6:30 p.m. - "Goodbye to Bloo" (series finale) - Bloo and the Friends set out to make Mac's last day at Foster's the best he's ever had.

Carol, that means you're like what, 10 years old now? Get off the computer and out from in front of the TV! Go outside and ride a bike or play with your friends! Sheez. You are TOO YOUNG TO BE MAKING PETITIONS! And the point is moot by now anyways.

i just saw the very last episode , the ending was wide open.
with my favorite character Cheese moving into the house.

I want more cheese !

This is one of the shows that we watch as a family. We are all sad, but especially, the 7 year old. I guess we'll just have to buy it on DVD, when available! By Bloo, Eduardo, Lil Green Guy with One Eye....
