Twitter'Dancing' star Julianne Hough wants to get 'Footloose'
Everybody just wants to dance.
Add "Dancing with the Stars" hoofer Julianne Hough to the list of actors dancing around "Footloose," according to Entertainment Weekly. The mag says Hough has auditioned for the remake's lead female role.
"Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford has already signed on as the main character, a role that just months ago was seen as a centerpiece for "High School Musical's" Zac Efron.
"Footloose" will update the 1984 Kevin Bacon classic about a town where teens are taught dancing is a sin. It takes one out-of-towner, in this case Crawford's Ren, to show the locals dancing can be good clean fun.

Miley should do this movie... Julianne is not an actress or even a good singer, she just knows how to dance. But Miley is a triple treat dancer, actress and singer... much more experiance than this miss thing.
I think the burning question here is why they are remaking Footloose at all. It doesn't seem like a great idea...

Julianne is a revelation. Miley is already getting tired. but anyway, i'm a bit worried that this remake is gonna turn Footloose into High School Musical.

Julianne is so fake looking... She blongs in Playboy, not a major movie. Miley is simple and the girl next door, way more talented than Julianne.

I wouldnt say she sucks but she would not be good for a part in footloose, I am actually excited for this movie, I loved the original
