CW picks up 'Beautiful Life,' 'Melrose Place,' 'Vampire Diaries' ...dumps 'Privileged'

Joannagarcia Well, it's a sad day for "Privileged" fans. Sources tell me the network surprised many by making the last-second decision to let the Rina Mimoun drama go quietly into the night earlier this week.

So I guess we'll never know what happened with Will and Megan after she woke up in bed post-"we were on a break" sex...

Feel free to express your condolences/catty complaints in the comments section. And if you have questions for Ms. Mimoun, please let me know.

On a brighter note, I'm hearing really good things about the Ashton Kutcher-produced "Beautiful Life," which insiders say is a sure thing for fall. Word is, the drama about young models in the city will film in New York, instead of Canada where the pilot was shot, because the network has high hopes for it.

And, no surprise, "Melrose" and "Vampire Diaries" will get an official pick up on Thursday too, as has long been rumored.

So, thoughts?

I'm glad that they picked up Melrose and I am kind of intrigued by The Vampire Diaries. Now I can't stand Ashton Kutcher so I am still on the fence about Beautiful Life. Vanity is not kosher to me.

Wow see this is why I don't the CW anymore. Cancel good shows for ones starring Mischa Barton and Ashlee Simpson? P***.

I'm not surprised about Privileged... but I'm still really sad. It was such a gem of a show, but it didn't fit the CW. I think it would have been better on ABC Family. I have no interest in Melrose, since I hated what they have done to 90210 so I'm sure it will be more of the same. Vampire Diaries seems like something I could go for though. Beautiful Life... hmmm not sure about that one yet.

Whatever happened with Body Politic? Is that no more? I thought that sounded really good.

Whatcha hearing KG on "Lillie"? Midseason or not at all?

If you say Beautiful Life is good Korbi I will give it a chance.

YES MOVE PRIV to ABC FAM!!!

Darnit on "Privileged". I was really hoping it would get picked up. Any news on "Lily"?

I'll probably check out the reboot of "Melrose" and "The Vampire Diaries". Undecided though about "Beautiful Life" (Mischa Barton gets on my nerves). If nothing else is on against it ... maybe.

HALL-E-LEW-IA. Trust me, guys, all three of these shows are winners, and I don't say that often about CW stuff. Any one of the three is better than One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl, hands down. Nikke Finke is standing by her earlier report that "Lily" is dead, now and forever.

But get on board for these 3 shows. There's nothing NOT to like. First wise moves the CW has made....well, EVER.

awww...noooo...i loved privileged...it was my favorite new show last year...i am really sad...ppl do not like good tv...i will watch melrose and vampire but not beautiful life...that will be cancelled im sure...i never thought about abc family but that would be a great fit...but it wont happen...its almost scary to watch new shows because they only get cancelled :(
