'Chuck's' fate delayed a couple weeks?

Zacharylevi_chuck_290 "Chuck" will be on the bubble a little while longer, beyond the expected NBC fall lineup announcement Monday, Zachary Levi tells E!

"I just got an email from ['Chuck' executive producer] Josh Schwartz, and he said stay positive, [but] we're not going to find out on Monday," the actor said at Friday's charity event benefiting Children's Hospital Los Angeles. "It could be another week or two. They're making their final tallies and decisions."

"Chuck" has been the focus of a fierce renewal campaign by fans who want to see a third season of Levi as the nerdy protagonist who gets pulled into the spy game because of his former college roommate.

Among the activities fans were asked to do was eat at Subway, mail in Nerds candy and follow the Internet campaign that included the #savechuck Twitter meme.

Already, NBC has made a decision on midseason cop drama "Southland," renewing it for a second season.

Come on, just renew it already.

so let me get this right, NBC renewed Southland even though its ratings are sliping ( in the 4.3 rating share area ) while they keep Chuck on the Bubble and are not sure about it, even though its in the 6.4 area of rating shares on a night that has tuff compitition !!!! come on NBC make the right choice and Renew Chuck....

My brother & about fifteen other people from the school he teaches at get together every monday to watch the show. They could spend hours talking about it, could the same be said for a show like "Criminal Minds"? I wonder if the ratings gods consider them one household because they watch together?

does anyone else out there think that NBC is just trying to build this hype, since everyone is saying renew CHUCK ?? i think NBC have already decided they are renewing it.

i think NBC's just teasing everybody and has been planning on renewing chuck since January

all the chucks fans are gonna poop themself from excitement lol

I first reaction was the complete opposite. I'm not a fan of the series, and have never watched it. I'm not saying it should be canned; I'm not saying that it should be renewed. What I'm trying to say is that I have an unbiased opinion here.

I think from reading this article that NBC has decided to cancel the show, but doesn't want that to be the center of its "in-front." If the show were not mentioned it would have cast a shadow and angry fans and the media would make a field day out of it leaving the other shows without publicity and hype.

Leaving the "decision" until a few weeks will at least gaurantee NBC's fall line-up a bit of attention before all heck breaks lose.

Just my opinion. I hope for the fans, the show is renewed. Even though I don't really enjoy it as much as Buffy, Angel, and Firefly, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for word on the renewal of Dollhouse; I know how you feel.

I just happen to agree with all above: NBC has decided to renew Chuck and just wants to milk this "will it or won't it be " suspense for as long as it can just to keep all us Chuck fans (and we are legion) on edge. The Chuck Season Two finale was as awesome as they come: Ellie's wedding on the beach was so beautiful (I am proud to say I cried) and the action sequences if I can be so bold to say were on par with those in an action movie theater quality. Between Chuck and Heroes, which show is the more expensive to produce; I read that Heroes is.

A delay means they're carefully considering it. It also means we have more time to keep up the support! Do all you can to save Chuck: right to NBC ad sign the petition at www.SaveChuckBartowski.com!

Southland? Really?

We need another 'no, this is a SERIOUS cop show about real crime on the streets' show.

Chuck knows kung fu!

No contest (off to Subway!)
