Chevy Chase gets 'Hot Tub Time Machine' fix

Chevy Chase is dipping his toe into "Hot Tub Time Machine."

Chase will play your typical mystical handyman (think Don Knotts in "Pleasantville" or Christopher Walken in "Click"), presumably the one who creates the titular hot tub time machine, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows four friends led by John Cusack and Rob Corddry who, dissatisfied with their adult lives, use a hot tub to travel back to their high-school glory days.

Chase recently finished a guest stint on "Chuck," and will co-star with Joel McHale on NBC's upcoming comedy "Community."
