CBS orders 'Moonlight' star Alex O'Louglin's 'Three Rivers'
"Moonlight" fans will be able to see their favorite member of the undead community rise again on network television.
CBS has ordered the Alex O'Loughlin medical drama "Three Rivers," along with a good selection of other shows, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Apparently, CBS is going for star power because it also ordered up the Jenna Elfman comedy "Accidentally on Purpose," the Julianna Margulies starrer "The Good Wife" and the "NCIS" spinoff starring LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell.
"Three Rivers" focuses on three different points of view in the organ transplant world: the donors, the doctors and the recipients. CBS also ordered up another medical drama, "Miami Trauma," produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
"Accidentally" stars Elfman as a woman who gets pregnant after a fling with a younger man, while "Good Wife" stars Margulies as a politician's wife who joins a law firm as an associate.
"Undercover Boss" will also CBS' unscripted series slate.

I like Alex and am looking forward to seeing him in a new series. However, I think the NCIS spin off is awful and I probably wont watch it.
Alex O'Laughlin, Jenna Elfman, Julianna Marguiles, etc. are star power??! That's a very weak group. None of them will get ratings in their new shows. CBS would have been better off saving more current shows.
I'm looking forward to seeing ALEX O'LOUGHLIN in THREE RIVERS!
I am so happy that Three Rivers is on the list. Still, I keep my fingers crossed until Wednesday :-)

I am praying that all these positive reports of "Three Rivers" being picked up for Fall '09 from all media outlets are true. But I will wait for Wednesday's upfronts before popping my champagne bottle and joining with all the Alex O'Loughlin fans in celebrating his gracing of our tv screens once again on a weekly basis.
Cheers!
A tacit admittance that CBS made a mistake in killing Moonlight?
i love Alex O'Loughlin, but this new drama just sounds TIRED. who needs another same ole, same ole medical drama? i'm sure i won't be watching....
I'm so Happy for Alex he really deserves this and I'm also Happy for me that I'll get to see this talented actor back on my television weekly!
Yup, CBS has picked-up "Three Rivers", BUT, will it last, OR get dumped after two-weeks of low ratings. Alex is good, but I'm afraid not star-power at this point. I also echo someone else's viewpoint on here....ANOTHER medical drama, yawn.
