Zooeydeschanel Anyone who's seen "Elf" knows that actress Zooey Deschanel can sing. And "Volume One," recorded with M. Ward as the musical duo She & Him was named 2008's Album of the Year by Paste magazine.

Still, it's odd to see Deschanel lending her vocal stylings to extolling the virtues of cotton, which is exactly what she's doing for a new ad campaign:

    Woke up today
    It was another lovely day
    To watch the sun
    Rise and fall again
    From my window

    CHORUS
    The touch, the feel,
    the fabric of our lives
    The touch, the feel
    of cotton,
    the fabric of my life

    Woke up today
    It was another lovely day
    To watch the birds
    In the sky again
    From my window

    [CHORUS]

    Just saw the night unfold
    Another lovely day
    And saw the stars in
    the sky again
    From my window

    [CHORUS]

Not odd bad. Just odd. Guess if she's going to go the advertising route, the organic fiber is as good a product as any. And, have to admit, we found ourselves humming the song after only one viewing.

Thanks for sharing! Love the Zooey. I bought Oliver Peoples gl***es because of her.

Me like Miss Zooey. Me like cotton now.

why the hell is she doing a commercial now? has she given up already?

Aurthur Dent would be proud!

Not gonna lie: I would totally download that.

Now Katy Perry's Doppleganger is singing! WOW!! she is doing everything to make sure people don't mix them up! Both of them are freaking beautiful though!

is she preggers?

to "why?" - Zooey's been in a band for some time. She's always been singing. wikipedia/google it!

to live: i don't think you read the question right. it didn't say why is she singing? it said why is she doing a commercial? i agree with that question. duh.

because shes an actress... she was in a Will Ferrel xmas movie... theres no selling out anymore because there are no real indie movies anymore.
