First Look: 'Gossip Girl' spinoff's Brittany Snow as totally '80s Lily
We already know that Brittany Snow will play the younger version of Kelly Rutherford's Lily in the "Gossip Girl" spinoff set back in the 1980s, but now you can peep her in all her over-mascara'd, totally '80s glory.
As you can see from this poster obtained by Spoiler TV, Snow as Lily has run into a bit of trouble in a flashback for the May 11th "Gossip Girl" episode, "Valley Girls," which will act as a backdoor pilot to the spinoff.
And yeah ... it looks like Serena got her wild child ways from her mother!

I don't watch Gossip Girl but I am very excited about this spinoff!!!
Fashion looks good. Not too 80's that it is a caricature. Keep it Vintage 80's and you will have a fashion revolution. Go stereotype 80's and you'll have "That 80's Show". Remember it? No? Exactly.

I think Lily is way cooler than Serena, but it doesn't look like Brittany Snow holds up against Kelly Rutherford to me. She doesn't have the timeless beauty Kelly has, and kind of looks like a sorority girl who has just been busted for faux-prostitution/hazing. I haven't seen much of Brittany's work...but hopefully she's got enough charisma to pull Lily off.

But most girls of the 80's don't have the timeless beauty then that they get later in life as women.
You know actually ... I would say that is true of any generation. Girls in general (of any generation) don't have that cl***ic beauty that alot of them obtain as women. Just go and find pictures of women that are beautiful now and pictures of them growing up. Angelina Jolie, Kristian Alfonso, Carmindy (from TLC's What Not To Wear ... I was in ULTA the other day and she has a book that was in there about makeup and there was a pic of her as a little girl ... unbelievable ... she was chubby and not even cute ... now look at her ... stunning), etc ...
I, too, remember That 80's Show and actually liked it. I wished that the cast of That 70s Show could have done it though. Aside from that...
As much as I loathe this spin-off coming into fruition, this picture is freaking hilarious and I can't wait for this episode. I just think it would have worked for a two-parter and not an entire series. If it has to be a series, then they should do either a mini-series or limited run. The show is going to face all kinds of blunders and it won't look pretty.
