VIDEO: 'Stargate Universe' teaser trailer

"Stargate Universe" can't get here fast enough for the franchise's fans, who will just have to content themselves with the following trailer.
The series stars Robert Carlyle, Lou Diamond Phillips, Ming-Na, Justin Louis, Brian J. Smith, Elyse Levesque, David Blue, (Ugly Betty, Moonlight), Alaina Huffman and Jamil Walker Smith.
In the series, denizens of a hidden base -- including soldiers, scientists and civilians alike -- come under attack and are forced to enter the Stargate and emerge aboard the Destiny, an ancient spaceship that can't return to Earth because its course is locked on an unknown destination in deep space.

The series is due to premiere in October.

Two things that I like about this concept.
No more english-speaking "human" aliens.
And the BSG-ish tone.
I doubt it'll be anywhere near as good as BSG was when it peaked, but it could be something good to watch. Just as long as they avoid most of the lame scifi pitfalls the other two constantly fell into. Like why the forests around Vancouver seemed to be on every planet in the galaxy...
Please don't refer to the network as "SyFy", that is widely considered an insult to the viewers.
