Katharine McPhee, the fifth season "American Idol" runner up, will be exercising her chops on "CSI: NY" April 8 when the team investigates the shooting of a man in an empty theater.
The songwriter, model, and actress has kept busy after her stint on the FOX show, thanks to a self-titled album, several singles and collaborations with big name singers, like Andrea Bocelli. But in the CBS show, McPhee will play a singer and crime victim who resorts to murder as revenge.
The last time we got "McPheever" was when the singer played Harmony, a misfit in a misfit sorority, in the 2008 film "The House Bunny."
