VIDEO: Four minutes of 'Glee'

There's something about singing teens. Let's face it: you put the two together and it spells "High School Musical."

"Popular" creator Ryan Murphy brings his latest school project to FOX in "Glee." It may have taken eight years to bring his humor back into the hallowed halls of education but it looks to be well worth the wait. Check out the first extended clip.

Watching those four minutes made me realize three things.

#1. It seems more like a trailer for a movie than a weekly television series.

#2. I'll watch anything that Ryan Murphy dreams.

#3. I really miss Popular, and this show in no way compares to it. (Except maybe the singing quarterback...)

Looks like something I would love, therefore it will be cancelled in three episodes.

The more I see of this show, the more I fall in love with it! I can tell already this is gonna be my new favourite show. And I'm gonna stay positive (since that seems to be the cheddar-inspired theme of the show) and say that it will last! Sure FOX make some stupid decisions when it comes to cancelling shows, but with Nip/Tuck coming to an end soon, maybe they'll want to keep Ryan Murphy around. Here's hoping!
Damn, now I'm gonna be watching this trailer all day!

Judging from this, this show looks to be formulaic: the token fat girl, the token Asian character, the token kid-in-a-wheelchair, the token cheerleader, the token football jock and the token wannabe actress/singer. This is "High School Musical" for television. I'll p***.

Fox could have a cult hit here if they don't kill it two weeks in. It looks like it will be funny, dramatic, and full of music. I can't think of a tv show that has ever been on like this. I hope they issue soundtracks to go along with it, cause from the looks of this clip they could sell a lot of CD's, from what I saw these peeps have talent.

Awwwww I cannot wait, it looks so inspiring and Full of love and laughs....It gave me chills :)... Im interested in it because it unique and I hope others will be interested also...Also that lady in the blue jump suit is HILARIOUS HAHA

I had read that Victor Garber and Kristen Chenowith were supposed to be in this, but I don't see either one in the previews.
