Shaun Sipos cast as Jake Hansen's son on 'Melrose Place' pilot
Shaun Sipos is Jake Hansen's kid.
Sipos -- whom you may recognize from "Complete Savages" or "Shark" -- has been cast as David Patterson, the son of Grant Show's Jake Hanson -- whom we all remember from the original "Melrose Place" series -- on The CW's "Melrose" pilot.
Sipos is the latest (and presumably last) regular addition to show, joining Michael Rady, Jessica Lucas, Katie Cassidy, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Colin Egglesfield and Stephanie Jacobson, who all signed on earlier this year.
David is expected to be a sexy, spoiled bad boy who was recently cut off from his family's fortune.
Thoughts? Think this kid looks enough like Jake? He does have Grant Show-y eyes, no? The blonde hair's just throwing me off. Can he dye it?

Im sooo exited about the new Melrose but i think Shaun Sipos is too blonde to be Jakes son!!Maybe he'll look better on the show!!
Fire them all and give the money to Heather Locklear. You might as well give up on this series right now if you can't get her to join.
I remember the original MELROSE as being more grown-up than 90210. They were *adults*. Why is the CW so hell bent on casting everything as if only 13-18 year olds will watch? I will not be watching.
This casting is so underwhelming but much of Melrose's cast has been. Basically after C***idy and Rady it all went down hill. Still think they should have casted closer to home with Michael C***idy and Laura Breckenridge.

That picture's not the best representation of him, either--he's a cl***ic sleepy-eyed, blond, bedhead cutie, and a decent actor to boot. I wish he wasn't playing such a cliched character (based on the description given, at least). The fact they're remaking Melrose Place is stupid enough. The CW is going to go down in the annals of bad TV as a hallmark of cowardly, wishy-washy uncreativity. I don't look for it to last beyond the next season or two.
I agree with Michael in regards to the age.. Melrose place was more of a late 20's-30's demographic type show.. all of these kids that have been cast seem far to young.
If I wanted to see kiddie drama I'd watch 90210, I want grown and sexy drama. I guess I won't find it on this show

Bottom line, Shaun, Colin and Michael Rady just became the network's hottest threesome on any one show. Gonna need some more guys in the cast, tho. And the departure of Jessica Lucas, pleaaase.
