See the final episodes of 'Pushing Daisies' ... on DVD
Fans of "Pushing Daisies" now have a certain date when they can see the final episodes of the series -- provided they're willing to pony up for the DVD set.
Warner Bros. will release the second season of the cancelled ABC show on DVD and Blu-Ray Tuesday, July 21. The set will include all 13 episodes from the series -- including the three that haven't aired since the network pulled the plug in December.
An ABC rep says the network is planning to air the final three episodes during the summer, but it hasn't set any dates.
Meanwhile, viewers in Britain will probably get to see the finale before we do in the States, as ITV, which airs the show in the U.K., says it's committed to the full series. "Norwegians," the last episode that aired here, is scheduled to run on ITV Friday (April 3), although the channel's listings don't show the show airing the following week.
Still, the DVD set will probably cost considerably less than a plane ticket to London.
The DVD will include a handful of extras on the making of the show, including one on the challenges of constructing the show's fanciful sets, one on the visual effects team and one about composer Jim Dooley.

In Germany we've seen the complete second season. The final episode is not as good as you might think. It's alright, but nothing special.
in soviet russia dvd buys you
Boo - I love this show - funny but not pretentious.
We don't need to go to the UK or wait till July...I'm sure a few google searches would turn something up.
The 11th episode is scheduled to air on ITV on 17th April - missing a week for Good Friday.
ABC - you suck. First you canceled an amazing show and then you break your promise to show the final episodes. I guess you're trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of the situation by forcing people to buy the dvds.
I should point out that ABC won't make money on the DVDs. That's all Warner Bros., the studio that produced the show.
People are already upset about Daisies leaving so abruptly off the airwaves, they're not exactly going to run out and buy the DVD. Viewers are sick of investing their time only to have their show canceled, bounced around, weeks skipped or it just disappears into the abyss.
Instead of watching the remaining episodes on TV, advertising included, now I'll find it for free online - likely commercial free. *shrug*
its tempting... but i'd rather not watch this show until the cliffhanger ending and be left hanging yet again...
I'm still upset about it being canceled, but I know very well that I will buy the DVD. A little Pushing Daisies is better than none at all in my opinion.
ABC should put the last 3 online so we don't have to buy a $20+ set to see the 3 episodes.
