'Melrose Place' casts Shaun Sipos as Bad Boy 2.0
"Melrose Place" has found its Jake Hansen for the next generation.
The CW has cast Shaun Sipos for a lead role in its "Melrose Place" reboot that will help link it to the original series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sipos, 27, will play David Patterson, son of bad boy Jake Hansen, played by Grant Show in the earlier incarnation.
Like his daddy, David is the good-looking bad boy. Although he grew up affluent, his bad-boy behavior has cut him off from the family's money.
This casting definitely opens up possibilities for Show to guest star as Jake himself.
Sipos has starred in short-lived series "Maybe It's Me," "Complete Savages" and "Shark." He joins the previously cast Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Colin Egglesfield, Katie Cassidy, Jessica Lucas, Michael Rady and Stephanie Jacobson.

This casting is such a let down
these actors are soooo dull
it amazes me, these casting directors and their choices. all these actors look like a bunch of Yuppies, no one wants to see that.. we've seen it before.
where is the edge.. where is the grit.. don't they want this show to be a hit?.. and not some bull sh*t one tree hill knock off?

I was excited about the remake until the casting. Ashlee Simpson? That did it in for me, I won't watch now.
OMG you forumers are annoying to all hell. Ashlee Simpson this...Ashlee Simpson that..seriously? Seriously? It's called Melrose not Ashlee Simpson sitcom. I do not like her either, but I get so sick and tired of hearing people bash the show because Ashlee is on it, they could of cast Paris Hilton and you people would have a field day. As far as the casting of David, never heard of this actor, but I think they choose him for the looks and maybe talent. I'm looking forward to it.
This casting has shown that the writers and producers have done their homework well and knows their Melrose history. What was a one off episode storyline in the first season has helped connect the original to the spinoff. Kudos for paying attention, Melrose producers.

about Ashlee i'm not so sure but i hope she could do her role well so the show don't get cancelled . i 'm waiting for the show
