Marilyn_gavin British singer Marilyn, a male rocker who in 1995 had denied having a love affair with former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, is now changing his tune.

"[Gavin] was the love of my life," Marilyn tells In Touch. "He was just becoming successful in America. I agreed to lie against every grain of my being."

The alleged romantic relationship first came to light in the 1995 book "Take It Like a Man" by British singer Boy George and mentioned how a Rossdale and Marilyn became close in the early '80s. Rossdale, 43, denied the affair, claiming that they were just friends.

Marilyn, 46, was born Peter Anthony Robinson. He was part of the British New Romantic music movement and achieved fame in the 1980s with the song "Calling Your Name." He also appeared in the "Who's That Girl" video for The Eurythmics.

Marilyn gives more details about the relationship in the full In Touch interview.

Gwen_gavin Rossdale is currently married to No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani. Together, they have two sons: Kingston, 2, and Zuma, 9 months.

If it is true so what? And if it isn't I hope that Gavin Rossdale sues "Marilyn" into poverty.

Someone must be in the need of some money. If it's true, so what? Get over it and move on, nothing is going to bring Gav or his family down.

So wut now?
Gavin leaves Gwen for your ****?

wow. i bet gwen knows.

I am not sure why everyone is in such a stew over Marilyn's revelation. Gavin had a same sex relationship in his 20s, and broke a guy's heart. It is sad, and it happens. Why are people so AMAZED that men and women experiment with the same sex? No, not everyone but a lot more than we think. Also, this relationship between Marilyn and Gavin doesn't make Gavin Gay or even Bi. And why would it bring shame to his family? Also to the poster that felt the need to suggest that Gavin sue if this story is "made up": I doubt Marilyn is making it up and btw, Kirk Brandon, another straight rocker was talked about in Boy George's book as the "love" of his life; Brandon sued and lost.

it does change the way i see Gavin, that's for sure.

The only way this changes my opinion of him stems from that hideous hair in the picture above. Oh Gavin, really? I know it was the 80's, but you just out-Sheedyied Ally Sheedy with that.

just confirms my gaydar

Who cares? What's the big whoop anyway?

wow tim, you must have good gaydar because i had no clue.
