Lindsay Lohan's ugly public breakup with Samantha Ronson
Lindsay Lohan finally admitted that she split with girlfriend Samantha Ronson, but what she initially tried to keep hush-hush has become a messy, public case of she said, she said.
"We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself," the 22-year-old first confirmed to E! News on Monday.
It wasn't the most surprising news, especially since so much was played out on the Internet.
Last Friday, Ronson had security bar Lohan from entering a party at Bar Marmont for her sister, designer Charlotte Ronson. Both families were staying at the Chateau Marmont at the time, and LiLo reportedly tried to barge into the DJ's brother's room.
In retaliation, Lohan told Ronson on Twitter: "I'm doing this publicly because you and your friends call People magazine... so, you win. You broke my heart. Now go away. I loved you."
A day later, Ronson changed the locks on her Hollywood home, where Lohan had been living for the past few months and where she hid out when an arrest warrant was issued for her in March.
On Sunday, the same day Lohan publicly denied that they had broken up, the Ronson family had made inquiries about how they could obtain a restraining order, reports UsMagazine.com. Whether or not this was meant for Lohan has not been determined.
Finally, on Monday Lohan confirmed their breakup, and Ronson changed her relationship status to "single" on MySpace.
Both parties are blaming each other (Lohan specifically blames Ronson's family of launching a "smear campaign" against her). Meanwhile, Lohan is focusing her energies on her new spray tan line Sevin Nyne, which will debut on Sephora.com this month.

How sad. 22 and her career is over. Oh well, another bim bites the dust.
She's a piece of trash and she needs to be sent to Iraq for a year and let's see how she can handle all that! IDIOT!
It sucks because Lindsay turned out like this. She is a mess. She couldn't take it all. She can't handle it. Pressure, stress, socializing and drugs. She really needs help. I hope she can focus again to her career.

I think it's really demeaning & unfair that so many people can point fingers @ someone, when, they've probably done worse or aren't any better. If the paparazzi & disrespectful people wouldn't try to be up into everyones life, then maybe some of these young people wouldn't be so messed up. Life isn't that bad. There are others wo have it worse. And, you should focus on yourself if it is going to improve you. If you can't be true to yourself, then you can't make your life or anyone else's better. I used to screw up too. Now, I rock. As a mom, a friend, & a wife. Don't be weak and give up. Don't let yourself be what others perceive you as. Especially if quite a bit of it isn't true. I'll pray for you tortured soul.
