'Jon & Kate Plus 8' fifth season confirmed, but is it wise?

I feel deeply sorry for the children. They are getting older now, they need to have a real life with friends, sleepovers and trips to see the relatives that are missing in their lives for so long now. Once this show ends (like they all do),these poor children will not know how to fit into the world.It will cause them alot of anxiety. These children have been living in an unnatural surreal world, with cameras,crews,posing, etc. They should all be playing sports and making friends that they need to have through school years, not just siblings for friends. Carpooling with friends is so much fun! That's what creates self esteem and indivisuality.These kids deserve a taste of what "real life" has to offer! Jon wants this, yet Kate is still basking in the spotlight of the cameras.What a shame!

i for one will not be tuning in (like many others i am done with this show).

I hate this show. Kate is an effin' witch with a "B." If that woman would stop complaining about ANYTHING for longer than 5 minutes, maybe she would be able to see how clearly miserable her poor whipped husband actually is. Someone kill this show. Please. It's painful to watch. My friends make me sit through it when I visit. It's the worst part of my day.

Oh puh-leeze. Those kids are fine. No family is perfect & I'd like to see the naysayers' families under such scrutiny & see how well y'all would do. Kate does a fine job raising those kids; so does Jon. Would that all children were so loved and taken care of.

Thats a retarded argument to support the show, Sanchez. "See how well y'all would do?" We didn't sign onto a reality show. We didn't subject our families to the scrutiny. The show sucks. Kill it.

Well, JettaJameson, I wish you had had someone teach you not to use a person's disability as a term of ridicule...Anyway, I wish the blogger here, and others, would bother to find out what the people they are talking about have said---Jon explaining the pix, etc. And if you don't watch the show, or care for it, why bother commenting on it??? Just say no and don't watch. Fill your empty life with something other than tv for that period of 60 minutes once a week.

Couldn't have said it better myself, Mr. Right. You are spot-on. No one is forcing anyone to watch the show, as far as I know.

So Jon is disgusted. What a sham.

First, he has 8, gets money from the show, gets perks, million dollar house, trips, teeth and hair done, Kate gets a complete makeover, her stomach fixed, money and perks, and now Jon is disgusted.

How sad is that? First, he has 8 kids to care about, second whether he can stand Kate or not, who is he to decide he has had enough? He went to work and Kate had the kids, washed and had everything under control. Give me a break. If he is having a meltdown, too darn bad.

How about all the people in the world who had kids, can't afford things and suffer through their marriage and everyday trials and tribulations and don't get the perks they do. He has some nerve complaining on t.v. to the people that make him popular. He deserves to lose the show and then let him get a real job and pay alimoney and child support for 8 kids.

While I enjoy the children, I cant stand the parents. Kate is an ungrateful person and has gone far from the namby pamby mother to a well dressed able to have a full time nanny and go to places that some people cant afford.

Shame on the both of them and they should realize that they have 8 normal, healthy children. Children do cry, complain, laugh and whatever until they grow up. Mady only follows what her mother does, complain. Who can blame the poor child? She had 7 other siblings to contend with.

I hope they realize their potential in staying together and the consequences on the children. Kate, grow up and appreciate what you have.

Jon, grow up and stop being so selfish. You have responsiblities. Kids come first. They didn't ask to be born.

I am shamed for Jon

Jon is the typical father, husband. First they get married, then have children, get bills and then they get disgusted, look for other woman and come to find out they all the woman are same in the end. The woman stays home, ironing, cleaning, washing, taking care of the kids and the husband gets disgusted?

While Kate is a pain in the butt, always complaining, treating him lousy and always rolling her eyes when he talks and always sounding ungrateful, so does Jon.

Marriage is not always what it is cracked up to be but, you are responsible for the children and their well being.

What is Kate did what Jon did, party with another man, after all she is pert, smart looking and cute. What would Jon think?

He is an over egotistical fool who thinks just because he parties with some bimbos, they wouldn't want a man with 8 children and they would laugh, have a drink, a jump in the hay and leave him. Men think with their tools, not their brains.

He should lose the show and then see what would happen then.

Get a life Jon, with your husband

I love the show, and really, it is amazing what they do with those children on a daily basis, both of them. Yeah, they have problems but not a single one of us don't...and ours aren't broadcasted for all the world.

Keep it going, I love the show. It's a reality check - some of you say they live high on the horse, well who are you to point fingers anyway? Aren't you holding yourself above them then??
