Jennifer Jason Leigh pulls 'Weeds' duty
"Weeds" is growing Nancy Botwin's family plot.
Jennifer Jason Leigh has been cast as the estranged older sister of Mary-Louise Parker's character on Showtime's "Weeds," it was announced Thursday. The indie movie darling will appear in at least two episodes in the upcoming fifth season, which premieres Monday, June 8th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Leigh will play Jill Price-Gray, the aunt who will take in Shane Botwin (Alexander Gould) when Nancy (Parker) finds herself and her family in harm's way. Jill eventually tires of her own suburban family though and heads over to Agrestic with an arsenal of jealousy, frustration and past grievances to launch at sweet little sis.
Leigh's first episode will air June 15th.

"Heads to Agrestic"...does that mean Nancy & company are moving from the border back to their original haunt? Any chance some of the original cast members will be back?
This sounds like excellent casting news. More Albert Brooks please.
love her! yes!
love jennfer--hope it's for more than two episodes
This is some great ice tea Stacy. Seems only fitting to have a Ridgemont alum back.
I've always suspected that they would hire Marissa Tomei to play Jill, for obvious reasons.
love jennifer Jason Leigh
