'Harry Potter' actor busted for marijuana
The next time "Harry Potter" actor Jamie Waylett gets high, he better only be riding a broom during a quidditch match.
The British teenager, who plays Slytherin bully Vincent Crabbe in the "Harry Potter" films, was arrested in London Tuesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana, report several British news sources.
Waylett, 19, and a friend were driving when they were pulled over. A search of the car produced eight bags of pot inside.
As if that weren't enough, Waylett's home that he shares with his mom and three siblings was raided later. Officers found what appeared to be 10 cannabis plants growing under a hydroponic light that was sitting next to a PlayStation console. That's a new way to do it.
The young actor is due back in court in July.
The sixth film in the children's series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," hits theaters on July 17.
In the films and books, Vincent Crabbe uses his superior strength but inferior brain to be one of Draco Malfoy's (Tom Felton) minions who makes life hard for Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his Hogwarts pals. His father is a Death Eater.

he was on his way to White Castle....
What a moron. If I was in charge of Warner Bros., that would be the end of his career at the studio.
Good for him for smoking pot! Lets see the war on drugs could have bailed out the banks, auto industry, the financial crises, fed starving children, hey maybe even provided affordable housing.... But its ok to pollute and destroy the planet and not smoke a joint. Ridiculous!
Phew! At least it was one of actors who plays a bad guy in the series. Had it been Radcliffe or one of the other heroes that could have had a negative impact on the film. "Get High", meanwhile, needs a lesson in economics.
I've never been much for any kind of drug, medical or not. I go for organic and herbal when I can, so what about legal highs, do they work?
What a waste of everyone's time. Legalize it, regulate it, TAX IT. Marijuana is no more harmful than alcohol, it's to to end the vilification, demonization and incarceration of decent cannibis afficianados. The vast bulk of us are hard working, tax paying, decent people, who want nothing more than to relax with a different intoxicant than alcohol.
Marijuana is NOT physically addictive, it does NOT cause lung cancer, it does NOT make people violent. The only violence near marijuana is in it's distribution, just as violence surrounded alcohol during Prohibition.
Stop the Reefer Madness, end the FAILED 'War on Drugs,' and stop making criminals of good people, they don't deserve it.
There has not been a single recorded case of anyone hurting anyone else or themselves while under the influence of marijuana or any indication of the any major long term health effects of mj yet it remains illegal and people go to jail for years for smoking it while meanthile...
Alcohol and tobacco kill 10s of millions of people every year, directly and indirectly and you can buy them legally almost everywhere?
Something is very very wrong with this picture.
What insanity. And everyone knows it is insane but still these ridiculous laws persist. (Not to mention the cost of enforcing the law - the police, the courts, the prisons...endless waste of trillions of dollars/pounds)
let me sound cliche for a second here but its too easy for people to grow themsleves which is why the government wont legalize it. they cant profit much from it
It really is TIME to END the bull**** and REPEAL Prohibition of Cannabis.
Great casting! If they need any other potheads for films 7/8, might I suggest half the posters to this site?
