Eric Carmen sentenced to jail for DUI
Eric Carmen, who sang the '80s hits "Hungry Eyes" and "Make Me Lose Control," would have been better off staying in control.
The former Raspberries singer is heading to jail thanks to a September DUI in which he hit a fire hydrant in Orange, Ohio, reports TMZ.com.
Carmen, 59, will have to serve 30 days of his 180-day jail sentence and pay a $1,000 fine. At the time of his arrest, Carmen was so drunk, he handed his credit card to officers instead of his I.D., blew a whopping 0.23 on the breathalyzer (nearly three times the legal limit) and had a half-empty bottle of Grey Goose in his front seat. So you see, it's not just the cheap stuff that will get you hammered.
"Hungry Eyes" hit No. 4 in the U.S. and was featured in "Dirty Dancing." One song he penned, "All By Myself" has been featured ad nauseam in numerous TV shows and film.
For those feeling nostalgic, here's "Hungry Eyes":

Eric, hope you are well and home again. I hope you stop drinking, I am married to a man that drinks, it is not easy to live with someone that drinks.
I have loved your music for many years, you play beautiful piano, and I have loved all your songs. I am thinking maybe you wrote some more beautiful songs while you were away. Good Luck, and please stay well
