'Dollhouse' slips to series low, shall we say sayonara now?

Elizadushku Though Joss Whedon told fans at The Paley Festival just ten days ago that "Dollhouse" season two was still a total possibility, the show's performance last night says otherwise.

Being off last week probably didn't do "Dollhouse" any favors, but there's really no way to excuse the sad number the series produced yesterday, reaching a low of 2.99 million viewers.

Yikes, no?

With just two more hours scheduled to air -- one next week and one the week after -- barring some big time influx of viewer support, Dushku's days on FOX Friday are definitely numbered.

It needs to be cancelled. Interesting idea and cast. Terrible execution.

Except that you fail to mention that EVERY show was down last night in relation to it's last original airing.

Just putting a number out there without any context is just irresponsible. Stick to spoilers...ratings analysis is definitely not your thing.

Whoa guys let's not be mean.

Last night was one of the best episodes by far

Funny you should say such a thing, MC, since the CBS shows didn't seem to have any issues last night. My research indicates their total viewers rose by more than 2 million as compared to last Friday... you're correct that ratings analysis is not my thing, but it clearly ain't yours either. Thanks for the comment!

While I don't think this was the worst episode ever, it wasn't the best either...however, it is 300% better than anything on television right now...minus Fringe.

I do not care for the "stand alone" formula that the studio asks for, but even as a stand alone, the episode did moved the story forward, gave us some insight into a few characters, and introduced a nefarious use of the tech that the Dollhouse possesses.

Granted, I would watch a live action version of the Smurfs if Joss Whedon wrote it...but I say we don't write Dollhouse off yet...if we were to judge a series by an few episodes...LOST would suck because of any of the episodes with Palo in them.

I sincerely hope that there is a Season 2.

I just dont watch that much TV anymore everythign I watch gets cancelled or the shows that are still on the air are all the same cop show/dr show/lawyer show. Anything new doesnt last.

Doll House has everything that you need for an entertaining hour. Good story lines, sexy casts and pretty good acting. Josh weaton can come up with unique ideas. Leave this show on the air.Everyone knows Friday is the worst night for any ratings.

That's a shame. I was starting to get into this show. I think it would be more successful if it weren't stuck on Friday nights. I don't know many people that watch TV on Friday, besides myself.

Canceling Dollhouse so early on would be a horrible idea.
Also, does any show do well with a Friday time slot like Dollhouse's, really?
FOX owes Joss loads of slack after what happened with Firefly in my opinion.
