ABC confirms 'Pushing Daisies,' 'Eli Stone,' 'Dirty Sexy Money' summer burnoff
ABC's summer schedule includes fresh seasons of "The Bachelorette" and "Wipeout," a few new shows -- and the final episodes of three second-year dramas that were cancelled midway through the season.
The three shows -- "Pushing Daisies," "Eli Stone" and "Dirty Sexy Money" -- will air Saturday nights at 10 in a sort of burnoff theater spot. The last three episodes of "Daisies" will air starting May 30, followed by the four remaining "Eli Stones" beginning June 20 and the final four "Dirty Sexy Money" episodes on July 18.
As far as originals go, the network's summer schedule will be anchored by its two most successful shows from last summer -- "The Bachelorette" and "Wipeout." The new edition of "The Bachelorette," starring Jason Mesnick dumpee Jillian Harris, kicks off Monday, May 18. The goofy obstacle-course hijinks of "Wipeout" start again on Wednesday, May 27.
The "Wipeout" premiere will lead in to animated series "The Goode Family," which will finally see the light of day on May 27. It will be paired with "Surviving Suburbia," which will move over from Monday nights.
Other originals lined up for the summer include second seasons of "Here Come the Newlyweds" (May 25) and "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" (July 8); sort-of newcomer "The Superstars," which will put a celebrity spin on the old athletes' competition starting June 23; and "Dating in the Dark," a show in which singles get to know one another without the benefit of seeing each other.

I wish ABC wouldn't cancel Eli Stone. I really liked it once I found it. I got my husband to finally start watching it and he really like it, too. It was different , fun and enjoyable - not the cookie cutter show I often find. I'm afraid the network didn't give this show a chance to find its niche. Anyway, I'll miss it.
These new reality shows of ABC are just atrocious and they're starting to turn into NBC now.
They should keep some of these shows and just make their seasons shorter. Then they can show them during summer. That's the way to do it. I love Eli Stone!
im really mad that eli stone is on this list. i cant belive theyre keeping crap like the bachellorate and that stupid japanese gameshow thing but canceling eli. :/
Final episode of Eli Stone just aired here in the UK. Shame the show got cancelled as I enjoyed it a lot. Nice finale too!
Eli Stone is one show that they should bring back on a regular basis. With all the gloomy news, having a show like Eli Stone was really, really nice! The show brought laughter in our house!
I miss Eli Stone. It isn't often that I will track done a show to find out when it is suppose to be on. I can't believe the other shows left behind. I think some people will lose their jobs over this. Hopefully another network will pick it up.
Honestly, I don't watch much television outside of HBO & Showtime, especially since most network shows are trash. However, there are a few shows I actually liked. For the most part, Eli Stone was one of them and I can't figure out why ABC would drop a show like this and keep Ugly Betty. I get more laughs seeing Lindsay Lohan arrested then that garbage, but please don't tell my wife I said that because she'd jack me up like an MMA fighter on steriods and red bull...
At the time, Eli, Daisies and DSM were the only shows I was watching on ABC. So when they were canceled it was awful. Seeing these three great shows sandwiched in between stupid reality crap... it just shows us how awful TV has become. It's a shame.
I miss both Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies. These were
great, well-written shows.
At least Heroes has improved
tremendously now that the writer for Pushing Daisies is back writing for Heroes. But I truly miss the unique and quirky dialogue that made Pushing Daisies such a standout in tv entertainment!
