'90210' scoop & discussion: bachelor parties, backstabbing & ball gowns

Michaelsteger Who else thought last night's "90210" was the best episode of the freshman series so far?

Adrianna and Navid daydreaming about their baby-to-be was sort of campy and fun. And Navid's prediction of his parents' reaction to the pregnancy news was cute, no?

I appreciated Naomi's warnings re: HPV -- what? HPV isn't a hilarious matter? -- and enjoyed Silver's Catholic school scenes... her dream of the pious student "dying for her sins" reminded me of "Heathers" in tone. Nice.

With the exception of Liam's stupid cousin -- Bru dog? Really? No one acts or talks like that -- the episode showed real signs of improvement, I thought.

Sadly though, the show sank to a new ratings low: 1.8 million.

Sigh.

A little scoop to raise your spirits and tide you over till next week?

Navid and Adrianna's engagement will hit a snag when the super-committed groom meets a girl at his bachelor party whom he's quite attracted to...

Annie and Naomi's 'let's-play-nice' routine will soon come to an end. N will turn on A, accusing her of lying and backstabbing and all sorts of good stuff in the next couple weeks.

Silver won't stay at Catholic school forever. West Bev's prom is coming up and she will be on Dixon's arm, wearing a very un-Silver-like ball gown-looking thing. Jessica Stroup recently told me that prom will be Silver's first experience back with the West Beverly student body and she'll be making some big speech.

Speaking of, Silver's boyfriend and future suitor -- the guys who play them, anyway -- are chatting below about her and what's to come. Check it out...

I couldn't disagree with you more. I thought this week's episode was absolutely terrible, if not the worst episode of the season. Watching Naomi act like a complete idiot in front of Annie's family for no real reason was just plain poor writing. Not to mention how horribly hokey the Navidrianna story is going. And don't even get me started on how uncharacteristically ridiculous Silver at Catholic school is. Awful.

This show is on thin ice with me.

I do think it's gotten better. But still needs much work.

Korbi, why are you showing us this ancient footage? I thought there was gonna be something new, but the guys simply talk about stuff that's already happened...

Why this show is so hyped and already renewed with only 1.8 million while shows are getting cancelled with quadruple the ratings mystifies me.

Leighannah, things work differently on the CW. They may have low ratings but a huge percentage of those ratings are in desirable demographics.

Korbi - i agree, i thought it was one of the better episodes that didn't include the old cast...plus there were NO GRATUITOUS DR. PEPPER SHOTS!! Thank you!

I know, Caro, totally ancient. It was sent to me, so I thought I'd just throw it in there... I didn't produce those vids! Don't worry, I won't be using any old/boring stuff going forward...

April is STD awareness month, be careful. STD cases on the rise!

A friend of mine who works for the largest STD dating == Positivefish. com == told me that the new subscribers have increased 30% over 2008. Rising STD rate sparks online dating sites.
