You Ask, I Answer: Will 'Scrubs' return for a ninth season? Plus '90210' and more
Did "One Tree Hill" actually have a stoner's dog snack on the heart that was supposed to be transplanted into Dan Scott's chest last night? Ha!
In honor of the big D's impending death, shall I quickly answer a few of your questions today?
Korbi, Donald Faison has already signed up to do a new show, so I guess there's really no hope of "Scrubs" coming back for another season, huh? -Paige
Not so! Though Sacred Heart's brown bear is getting ready to play a reserve police officer in ABC's comedy pilot "The Law" and John C. McGinley's casting in the CBS/Skeet Ulrich drama "Back" was announced today, "Scrubs" ain't dunzo yet. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Several sources tell me alphabet net president Steve McPherson just informed "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence that he'd be happy to bring the show back for season nine. The only requirement? Zach Braff would have to do a handful of episodes. Seems the eight-year-old show is reeling in a nice young, male demo that doesn't normally watch ABC and that makes McPherson smiley.
Thoughts? If Zach were to make an appearance here and there, most of the old school cast stuck around and a couple of the newbies really stepped up, could a ninth season of "Scrubs" work?
Korbi, Did you know that Adrianna on "90210" broke up with the guy who plays Ty and is now dating Jesse from "Breaking Bad"? -Wendy
I did, yes. Seems Adam Gregory and Jessica Lowndes are over, but she's already rebounded with "Bad"'s Aaron Paul, also known as Sarah's fiance Scott on "Big Love"!
And on the subject of "90210" break ups, you should be aware that one of the show's longest running couples is heading for a split. They've had rocky times before, but will be legitimately done by season two. Any guesses?
Everyone's panties are in a bunch over Edie and Dave and all this murder stuff, but I want to know about Bree and Orson on "Desperate Housewives." I used to love them as a couple, but Orson is not so likeable lately. Will this continue? -P
Sadly,
I'm hearing Bree will soon visit a divorce lawyer. Whether she'll go
through with the proceedings, I don't know, but she's definitely
thinking about it seriously.

Scrubs is still hilarious. If the writing stays funny, I'll watch it forever.
I love Scrubs! I will watch it as long as it's on t.v. Korbi, have you heard anything about CMM leaving or being "forced out" of OTH? I laughed out loud when the dog took the heart in his mouth and ran off!
Bring back Scrubs, is he insane? The show is tanking in overall viewers and the 18-49 demo.

Oops, sorry for the multiple posts!
I would definitely continue to watch scrubs! There are a lot of things I like about the show (JANITOR, Dr. Cox, writing that is funny for first time viewers and sometimes extra funny for die-hard fans), so Zach Braff's presence (or not) is not a deal breaker.
Melissa, Scrubs isn't tanking. If you look at the overall ratings this season, it has held somewhat steady. It dropped a bit in viewership when American Idiot - I mean Idol - debuted, but now that Scrubs is on Wednesdays, it's viewership jumped back up an additional 1.6 million viewers over the last new episode.
As for a ninth season, I'm not sure it could work with a lot of main cast jumping ship. With Johnny C. leaving, we'd have to go through yet another find-the-new-chief-of-medicine plot line all over again. Judy Reyes has said that she feels like the show is done and wants to move on. Zach has said he wants to move on and write and direct other projects. And Neil Flynn is already committed to another show with Patricia Heaton.
If you look back over the course of the past few seasons, the comedy of the show originates mostly with JD and Turk goofing off, Elliot going up against Dr. Cox, and Carla trying to reel in JD and Turk's goofiness. The Janitor has been, for the past three seasons, playing around with his Brain Trust and not har***ing JD as much. The only new intern worth keeping around so far has been Denise. Without some of those key players, there's not much left that you can do.
Im a hugeeeeeee scrubs fan. To be honest i rather it end this season as much as i would love to see it go into a ninth season. With most of the main cast leaving its just not worth doing to me because most of the interns arent as good as the other interns before. Now if they had Keith or crap i cant think of the chicks name with the high pitched voice that Cox hated. And the only new one thats worth watching is denise now.
