PICS: Willie Aames holds garage sale
Willie Aames has discovered that eight is not enough.
The former "Eight Is Enough" and "Charles in Charge" star has fallen on hard times and held a garage sale at his Olathe, Kansas home Thursday, March 26.
The 48-year-old, whose house is in foreclosure, had filed for bankruptcy last year, reports the Kansas City Star.
A film crew recorded the sad event for a documentary about Aames' life as fans milled about, comforting him and picking through his sale items. Among his worldly possessions were a mounted lion's head and deer head, stuffed wildlife he's hunted, memorabilia from his acting days, a piano, TV set, leather couches, antiques and artwork.
Aames also signed autographs throughout the sale.

Besides "Eight Is Enough" and "Charles in Charge," Aames also appeared in "Zapped!, on the "Swiss Family Robinson" TV show, provided the voice of Hank on the "Dungeons & Dragons" cartoon and created and starred in the "Bibleman" series.
Were you a fan of Willie Aames? Does this news make you sad?

It's a sad day for many people.
I hope before his sale he visited, www.yardsalequeen.com and got free tips on having a successful yardsale. I definitely would have gone to his sale.
The tv crew advertised his yard sale and he had no clue it was going to happen until that morning when they showed up it was so hard for him my mom bought a trunk of his for $50 that his brother got from sadi arabia and gave to him there was so much stuff he had out there that he didnt want to get rid of my mom did give him her number and told him if he ever wanted it back to call her. She feels so bad about buying it that she wants to just give it back to him but we are not sure if he is still in that house or if he is in a cheaper rental home somewhere he did say he wants to stay in kansas city and he was scared that nobody would show up he doesnt think anyone cares about him anymore.
These are some hard times.
I guess he didn't earn much for two seasons of Celebrity Fit Club.
yes sad to hear and it reminds you that even ppl who had fame get hit hard also.
Join the club, Willie!
Good luck to you.
There is a thing called karma. Any person who has animal heads that the has hunted, deserves it. I also have a hard time pitying anyone who made the kind of money they do and then loose it all.
I was there...shook his hand...he was very nice to everyone. He probably doesn't know how much people still do care about him. He would be welcome at my house anytime!
This illustrates that it doesn't matter how much money you make, if you don't understand how money works you will most probably lose it. I thank Willie for having the humility to put his life on display HONESTLY so we can all learn and hopefully apply it to our financial health.
