Not only has "Dancing With the Stars" allowed America to see that "The Bachelor's" Melissa Rycroft is so over Jason Mesnick, it's let us know that she can dance and has a rockin' little body to boot.
Hugh Hefner thinks so as well. The legendary chronicler of hot women, has reportedly offered Rycroft $500,000 to pose for Playboy. According to Star magazine, he made his offer via a personal letter and asked her to dinner at the Playboy mansion to discuss.
Don't expect to see her in the pages of the girlie magazine anytime soon though. Sources says that her contract with ABC forbids posing nude while she's participating on "Dancing With the Stars" and for three months after the season ends.
And in reality TV that's an awful long time. Come next September, we could very well be saying "Melissa, who?"

Why was she even invited to be on DWTS? The show already gets heckled for having mostly has-beens and d-list stars. She is not a star, reality show "stars" are basically the lowest level of stardom. Nobody will remember who she is in 1 year (which is the case for 90% of reality stars).

Enough of this woman already and isn't her so-called 15 minutes of fame up? She's like a leech!
She is not a leech. They asked HER to come on DWTS. They saw that she was popular with viewers and there was an outcry in response to the way she was treated/handled by Jason and DWts capitilized on HER popularity. I hope she does benefit from it somewhat because she is talented. We should all walk through doors of opportunity when they present themselves. I say good for her in making lemonade from lemons.

Melissa is a doll. For her though, I hope she goes to dinner with Hef, but turns down his offer. She's a sweet girl with a good attitude and I hope it will serve her well in life.
I think it's funny that the girls are all like YAY MELISSA (me too!), but the guys are the ones calling her a D-list celebrity and questioning her staying power. With a girl as beautiful as Melissa, shouldn't it be the other way around. Shouldn't it be the women who are being catty and the men who are ogling her?!?! I guess the fact that it's not so shows Melissa's popularity.
i'm a girl and not particularly a fan of Melissa. i wasn't crying for her in the Bachelor, that's for sure. but i thought it was smart of DWTS to grab her when they had the chance. after that, i don't care if i ever see her again!
