PICS: Meet 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'
Following the tawdry tales of The OC, New York City and Atlanta, the women of The Garden State have a lot to live up to.
Adding to its popular reality franchise, Bravo will give "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" a special preview on Tuesday, April 7. The show itself will premiere on Tuesday, May 12.
But you can get your introduction to the five newest housewives right here and now.
Caroline Manzo: Married for 25 years to her husband, Albert, Caroline is a mother of three. While Albert runs a successful catering business called The Brownstone, Caroline owns two businesses of her own: Opus Properties, a real estate firm and 4 My Mom, a children's accessories line.
Dina Manzo: Caroline's best friend and sister, Dina is an interior designer who also owns an event planning company. Her husband Tommy also happens to be Caroline's husband Albert's brother. Follow all that? She has a teen daughter, Alexia, and is the founder of the non-profit organization Project Ladybug that helps children being treated for cancer.
Danielle Staub: Already destined to be our favorite, Danielle's bio opens with the fact that she was one of the first women in New Jersey (and the 14th person in the country) to have a Black American Express Card. We're also told that "her history of celebrity hook-ups is one for the record books." Here's hoping she names names. Now a single mom, Danielle balances attending mass regularly, hitting the social scene and raising her two daughters.
Jacqueline Laurita: Once a Las Vegas cosmetologist, Jacqueline is now a stay-at-home mom. Her husband, Chris, is another brother of Caroline and Dina's spouses. She and Chris have been together for 13 years and have a six-year-old son. Jacqueline also has a teen daughter from a previous marriage.
Teresa Giudice: A true Jersey girl all-around, Teresa is married to her childhood sweetheart, Joe, and has three daughters -- Gia, Gabriella and Milania. Currently in the midst of building her dream house, Teresa also works with Dina on Project Ladybug and hopes to one day put her degree in Fashion Marketing to good use.

I lived in Jersey for 6 years. REAL Jersey girls are trashy, and just as hairy as the men.
where did you live on the seaside boardwalk lol..i live in central jersey and i am surrounded by beautiful women..beautiful smooth women
the last one pictured (teresa) seems to fit the trashy hairy bill. even the dress looks hairy. fashion marketing??? um....
and at least a couple could p*** as trannies. hello danielle and (again) teresa, sorry.
i for one will definitely not be watching this group of inter-married wanna-be's. i can already smell the stench of "annoying, but without the charm" coming off this show....
Real? There is nothing real about this. Real is a 40 year old mother of 3 battleing cancer and still managing to wake up at 6am to get her kids to school. Go to her radiation therapy, Pick her kids up from school, attend social events for her husbands business, go to sleep and wake up the next day to do it all over again. If your claim to fame is being one of the first to have a black American Express card that's pathetic. I have one myself it doesn't make me any better than the next woman. Real? I think not!
lets try real red neck women!!!
can anyone say TACKY????
Not for nothing, but wasn't one of the owners of The Brownstone featured on VH1's wedding show a few seasons back?
Great site this blog.zap2it.com and I am really pleased to see you have what I am actually looking for here and this this post is exactly what I am interested in. I shall be pleased to become a regular visitor :)
"REAL Jersey girls are trashy, and just as hairy as the men."
No, "real" Jersey girls aren't.
These hideous beasts you call "REAL Jersey girls" are some sort of foreign garbage that floated here a couple of generations ago.
can anyone say SKANKY???????
