Get your live 'Lost' chat here this Wednesday
No new Lost
episode this week? No problem. We've got your covered here with a 90-minute, primetime chat starting at 8:30 pm EST this Wednesday, March 11th. Continue reading to see the chat window.
Now, I'll be joined not only by some of Zap2it's finest, but also Lost blogger extraordinaire and overall annoyingly awesome Jopinionated. She's gonna lend her thoughts on the season so far, and peer into her crystal ball to make bold predictions of what's to come.
But we need your questions and comments to make this chat work! So come armed with your most perplexing Lost questions and we'll give you our best answers. And as always, we'll have plenty of polls, links, and at the end , I'll unveil my super secret blog endeavor that will take you through the rest of the time until the next episode, entitled "Namaste," airs next week.
We're looking to run about 90 minutes, but could stretch it out longer depending on interest. So come on by and turn this into a late-night chatfest! Look forward to seeing you all there.
Ryan also posts every 108 minutes over at Boob Tube Dude. He invites you to join the hundreds already in Zap2It's Guide to Lost Facebook group. He also encourages you to subscribe to the Zap2It's Guide to Lost Twitter feed.

WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENED TO AARON? DO YOU THINK KATE GAVE HIM AWAY OR DO YOU THINK HE WAS TAKEN???
Just read the chat -- can't wait for the musical, Ryan!
Also, so glad to see that you hate FIRE & WATER too! I thought it was just me, since the powers-that-be (on the DVD, at conventions, etc.) imply (to put it mildly) that this is "a very special episode".
In fact, this was the first episode of LOST I didn't like. (And since that was midway through the second season that's quite a commentary on both how good LOST usually is and how bad that episode was.)
The only episodes that come close to this are the Nikki/Paolo episode, the Jack's Tatoo episode, and the "Eggtown" murder trial.
(One of these days I have to go back to the "go back" for season two, three, and four. [I only have read the first season so far.] I'm sure I've missed a lot of interesting insights.)
PERRY: "Could it be that the Others settled Egypt and not the other way around? Maybe the island is Eden and the smoke monster is the serpent that tempted Eve, ha ha!"
CHEERS42: "I'm going to ***ume that the reason we didn't see the front of the statue [yet] is because its face belongs to someone we'd recognize."
I'm very intrigued by these thoughts (and my recent recollection of "In Search of Ancient Astronauts").
Does anyone think that the FDW, smoke monster, temple, and so forth were built, thousands of years ago, by extra-terrestrials?
Beings who were worhshipped by the humans at the time, and helped them create an Egyptian-like culture? And for some reason the only place evidence of these aliens still exists is on the island (either because that's the only place the aliens settled or because the island became unstuck in time)?
It just doesn't seem possible to me that ancient humans (or even Dharma-era) could have built the FDW and such on their own.
Plus, I'm still grasping at straws hoping to find a pseudo-scientific explanation for everything, despite the apparent religious-like ressurections of Locke and possibly Christian.
I still like to believe that Christian and Locke are dead, it's just that we're seeing them time-travel from a time when they were still alive.
(If just barely... John says he remembers dying, so the time-travelling must have begun within seconds of his heart stopping.)
(Wait... then his body should have disappeared, not been found hanging and taken to the butcher shop. Damn.) (Gotta go tend to my nosebleed...)
I just finished reading the live chat, and maybe I'm crazy, but I thought I remembered the scene of Claire getting on a helicopter, too. It's so clear in my head. Claire standing there holding the baby, her hair whipping around her from the windy blades, she turns and takes one last look at the island, and then boards the helicopter...
Maybe I had Desmond's dream, or I just have a killer imagination, but I would have put serious money on that being a real scene on the show.
You're remebering Desmond's vision, the same one where Charlie had to die in order to save Claire and the baby.
Tee: OK, good, someone else remembers...and yet, it wasn't there when I watched the DVDs.
Wow, it was left off of the DVD, huh? Like they're trying to re-write history right before our eyes.
*Shuddering in a corner* "no more hanging plot lines, no more hanging plot lines..."
"concerned"

Lucky you. Nikki will be returning this season.
