FOX chairman Peter Ligouri steps down in network shakeup
The parent company of FOX, News Corp., reshuffled the management deck on Thursday (March 12), and as a result network chairman Peter Ligouri is stepping down.
Ligouri has been head of the network for the past three years and oversaw FX prior to that. Under his watch the cable channel developed signature series "The Shield," "Nip/Tuck" and "Rescue Me," while his tenure at FOX has produced the likes of "Bones" and "Fringe."
Peter Rice, currently head of Fox Searchlight Pictures, will step into Ligouri's post. The News Corp. press release makes no mention of FOX Entertainment president Kevin Reilly, the No. 2 man at the network.
The LA Times has more details.

I have a bad feeling about this. Hopefully this doesn't result in the cancellation of shows like Dollhouse and Terminator.
if people actually watched those shows, you could complain. but as it is with joss whedon shows, no one watches.
I hope this doesn't put FRiNGE at risk. Things have already been "iffy" for this great show, even though it's a pretty big hit!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE not my Bones.
I think lots of people are watching Terminator and Dollhouse - just not live on firday night which is the real problem.
I love Bones - but feel the move the Thursday is hurting it big time.
As for Fringe - they've had too long a hiatus now. I think that's gonna bite them in the *** on that one.
I usually watch my shows the next day but I always watch Bones the same night I record. Fox needs Bones so it has a Fall show that people actually watch.
"Bones" is pretty safe. It's done better on Thursday than anything else Fox has had on the night in a good while.
I don't think this is happening because the network is in trouble, really. Fox has a more stable schedule than most. It was just a management thing.
I think the new FOX head will reconize that the network is #1 with 18-34 y/os & won't mess with too much. One thing he can do is finially put "Til Death" to death.
