Eddie Cibrian says LeAnn Rimes affair just a 'publicity stunt'

Leann_eddie Eddie Cibrian claims that his alleged "affair" with LeAnn Rimes was just a way to promote their movie "Northern Lights," and you, the Nora Roberts fan, fell for it.

"Eddie told his wife that it was a publicity stunt for the Lifetime movie," a source tells Usmagazine.com.

Cibrian, 35, has been denying rumors of the affair ever since Usmagazine.com reported he and Rimes, 26, were an item, even posting video from a security camera of the two kissing and holding hands.

If what Cibrian says is true, then that means Rimes is able to ad-lib pretty darn convincingly, especially that little bit where she sucks on his finger. "Northern Lights" did end up being a strong ratings draw for Lifetime, bringing in approximately 4.5 million viewers. Perhaps the audience wanted to judge the chemistry for themselves?

This, however, has no bearing on the rumors that Rimes' husband Dean Sheremet is actually gay and is only with the country singer in a marriage of convenience.

Who do you believe? Do you think that the story really helped the movie? Did you watch the movie? What did you think?

publicity for the movie really matters

Zap 2 it...please don't get TMZ on us. You are above that.

lol who knows whats really going on, I for one dont care

Wait a minute!! I thought I was on the Zap-2-It site, not TMZ! If I wanted to read unreliable garbage and gossip, I would have gone to the TMZ site. Smarten up, Zap 2 It!

Who truly gives a rat's *** about these two freaks! She has absolutely no talent and he's a dillweed!

If this was a publicity stunt, it was an extremely stupid one. I can't believe anyone at Lifetime, network for women, would believe it was a good idea to have two stars of a movie act like they were having an affair as a gimmick. On the other hand, of course Eddie is going to say that! He got caught!

Sorry ... not buying it. I mean that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. The only publicity you need for this movie is tv and magazine ads.

WHO CARES!?! No really, I mean it... two "C" rate "stars" at best.

Never heard the rumor. Never heard of the movie !

Yeah, who cares.
