'Angel's' Andy Hallett dies at age 33

Andy Hallett, who played the green-skinned lounge demon Lorne on "Angel," died Sunday (March 29) of heart failure in Los Angeles, E! Online is reporting. He was 33.

The actor had been battling heart disease for the past five years and had been hospitalized several times for the condition. His father was with him when he died.

A private funeral will be held in Hallett's hometown, Cape Cod, later this week.

I am so sorry to hear about Andy. I loved him as Lorne on Angel. RIP Andy you will be missed.

Im so sad to hear about Andy. Angel was one of my favorite shows and Lorne was such a great character.

This is terribly sad. I had no idea he had a heart condition. He was such a great sport to put up with all the green makeup on Angel. People never really got to see "him," they only saw the make-up. But still, he made Lorne so loveable. At least I have my DVDs to forever capture his performance; he will not be forgotten.

That truly sucks... he was one of the coolest characters of the Buffyverse, and I really hoped he would put out an album one day of "Lorne" doing some pop standards... my thoughts go out to all his friends and family...
