Evangeline Lilly's Rep Says She Hasn't Auditioned, Network Doesn't Confirm or Deny
Has Evangeline Lilly auditioned during pilot season? Though I'm confident in my original post that yes, she has, Lilly's publicist denies it, telling E! Online and EW.com that the audition report is "absolutely false." I reached out to ABC for comment and they declined to "confirm or deny."

I trust you and your sources, you never disappoint. Time will tell. I love your column and I will continue coming here for spoilers of my favorite shows. Thanks for your hard work.
Thanks for the update Khorbi. You're a regular stop for my entertainment scoops. I wish the haters would just leave.
AHhh!! You can't trust publicists. I'm really worried here. I trust the writers on Lost, but I love the love triangle with Kate.
if you are so confident, why don't you name the pilots that you are confident she has auditioned for. please. because they don't exist.
hey
Nice update.
For once, I just hope your sources are not that great. (Sorry hehe)
I don't want her out of the show. Anyway, she only has one season left, and it's not such a long one, maybe she can do both shows, lost and whatever she's auditioning for!
ABC won't confirm or deny? Doesn't that basically mean it's true? If they confirm it then we all know it's coming. If they deny it and it happens then we know they're liars. So if it isn't true why don't they come out and say it rather than dancing around?
So I guess the real news item here is: Is Korbi Auditioning for new writing gigs? In the fiction market?
brian - the reason that abc won't confirm or deny is that they don't wish to empower Korbi or encourage additional fictional ramblings. it isn't true. promise.
It is possible that EL is looking at projects that she could work on after LOST - the cast of LOST has the luxury of knowing they have work for next season but that they also know the show will end so even if they were resigned for holding into 8 or 9 years total - the show won't be on.
Also, I would think the cast could work on pilots in their downtime just as they do movies. Just because you are in a pilot, it doesn't mean you are going to series - most don't. Even if the pilot goes to series, it doesn't mean that you can't exit because you are still under contract with another show. She could even appear in a pilot and get killed off dramatically in the first episode, or be written in such a way that she is not needed until she is done shooting for LOST. Heck, if you were on a show and you did a pilot that didn't get picked up - there is little downside - you still have your current job, you got paid to work for the summer, you still get some vacation time, and you don't have to do press for the series that didn't get picked up. If she did a movie she'd have to squeeze in press for the last season of LOST, work on LOST, and do press for the movie.
This was just talk of an AUDITION which is still further away from getting cast in a pilot and then the pilot going to air. This happens all the time. I go to TheFutonCritic.com and if you track development updates there you will see this kind of thing happening all the time during pilot season.
If Korbi reported that this summer EL was doing a movie, it wouldn't be a big deal, but the fact that EL might be lining up her next job in a series is a landmine due to her being on a high profile series currently. Plus ABC has so much drama going on now just about every scripted series regarding cast news so the powder keg really went off on this. EL just wants to eat in 2011 ya'll!
this is LIE!!Absolutely faulse
