Chris Brown's gum ads pulled by Wrigley
The "Run It!" singer's arrest for an alleged assault on a woman whom reports have identified as singer Rihanna has caused the Wrigley gum company to pull his ads for Doublemint gum.
"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen," the company said in a statement. "However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved."
Brown, 19, had previously enjoyed a squeaky-clean image. With his stardom rocketing and dating fellow musician Rihanna, Brown was the poster boy for wholesome, charismatic, talented and successful.
The serious allegations make Olympian Phelps' recreational bong usage pale in comparison, although it did result in Kellogg's dumping him from the face of their cereal boxes.
Do you believe the allegations? How will Chris Brown's career be affected?
