'Amazing Race 14' reveals global race route
Once again, The Amazing Race has revealed the global route the country-hopping competitors will take over the course of their 22-day race.
After starting out at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, which is about 25 miles south of Los Angeles, Calif., the 11 teams will jet over to Stechelberg, Switzerland -- home of the world's second-tallest bungee.
What's the home of the tallest bungee? That would be the Macau Tower in Macau. Why didn't the racers go there instead? Well, they already did for a Roadblock challenge in The Amazing Race: All-Stars.
Check out photos of the Amazing Race 14 teams.
Now you'd expect that while in Switzerland, the teams will have to do something with cheese, right? Well, they certainly don't disappoint. Apparently the pairs will have to take part in a cheesy challenge, taking huge wheels of cheese up and down a hill.
The entire route is as follows:
Start: Los Alamitos, California, United States
1. Stechelberg, Switzerland
2. Salzburg, Austria
3. Bran, Romania
4. Krasnoyarsk, Russia
5. Novosibirsk, Russia
6. Jaipur, India
7. Phuket, Thailand
8. Bangkok, Thailand
9. Guilin, China
10. Beijing, China
11. Beijing, China
Finish: Maui, Hawaii, United States

Overall, the teams will traverse more than 40,000 miles.
The Amazing Race 14 premieres on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think about the locations visited this season? Anybody ever been to any of the cities ... perhaps at the Olympics? What do you think the teams can expect?

It will be interesting to see what kind of reception the contestants receive in China.
I'm looking forward to another great season of TV's most entertaining and picturesque reality show.
I think they should let the fans suggest locations. Only nine countries? doesn't seem like a lot this time around...
Siberia is gonna be great! So is Romania! I want the double-female teams to win!
beijing? i've been there! the european countries all sound good. maybe a all-female team might win this race.
Gurlin, China or GUILIN, China?
what is up with 2/3's of the race taking place in 3 countries? 3 stops in china and 2 each in russia and thailand? that is way fewer countries that in past races.
I've been to Jaipur, Phuket, Bangkok and Beijing. I'm wondering what temples they'll see in Bangkok.
I think that this is going to be a good season. The premiere was hilarious- I want to try carrying 50 lbs cheese down a muddy hill. I would have liked to see more variety because this race is only taking place on two continents. They should definitely go to Antarctica one season.
china again? they have been there million times since season one. i'd ratcher see them choose other asian countries instead of china or india. why not choose some less known places like sri lanka, laos or bhutan?
