Carlosbernard_24_240 Carlos Bernard has had quite a journey as Tony Almeida on FOX's Monday-night thriller 24, from soul-patched tech geek at the Los Angeles Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) to running-and-gunning field agent to family man to hopeless drunk to grieving husband to apparent corpse.

Now in the show's seventh season, he's back from the not-quite-dead and walking on the dark side.

"I want to tell you," he says, "it's my favorite season, but that's for selfish reasons. But I think it's also been a cool year, because it's much more personal than it's been over the last couple of years.

Melissa_thebachelor_s13_240 Rumors that Jason Mesnick will choose Melissa on next Monday's Bachelor finale only to dump her during the After the Rose ceremony in favor of runner-up Molly have now given way to a report that attempts to cast Jason in a light slightly more glowing than "cad."

Brittanysnow As I first reported back in January, Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are working overtime to produce a Gossip Girl spin off centering around Serena's mommy as a teenager in 1980s Los Angeles. And now comes word that Hairspray star and American Dreams alum Brittany Snow has been offered the lead role of young Lily. Sources surrounding the project say the-powers-that-be are currently negotiating with Brittany, and though her deal is not yet done, things are looking good.

Busyphillips Die hard Scrubs fans lamenting the May 6th finale of their favorite show, during which J.D. will exit the building for good, have been holding on to one silver lining as of late: Executive Producer Bill Lawrence and his team are already hard at work on a new comedy starring Courteney Cox, which I first told you about back in October. Casting for Cougar Town is currently underway and sources close to the project tell me Dawson's Creek alum Busy Philipps is about to land a leading role, playing Cox's character's younger partner-in-crime.

Evangelinelilly Has Evangeline Lilly auditioned during pilot season? Though I'm confident in my original post that yes, she has, Lilly's publicist denies it, telling E! Online and EW.com that the audition report is "absolutely false." I reached out to ABC for comment and they declined to "confirm or deny."

Evangelinelilly If we're to believe last night's preview of next Wednesday's Lost, it would seem that the long awaited reunion of Sawyer and Kate (also know as "Skate" on these here internets) will soon be upon us. And so, the bitter debate regarding whom Ms. Austen loves more -- him or Jack -- will burn especially bright in the coming week. Will she live happily ever after with the quippy Southern con artist or the stressed out doc? I don't know... Rumor has it, Kate might not live "ever after" at all...
