Michael Gets Heated For Tonight's 'Burn Notice' Return
The midseason premiere of Burn Notice is tonight and KTV correspondent, Marisa Roffman, tells me there's just one way to describe it: bad ass. Marisa pre-screened this evening's episode and has quite a lot to say about what's ahead...
The hour
picks up exactly where we left off, with an explosion
at Michael's apartment. Needless to say, Mr. Westen is a little bit traumatized
and a lot angry that someone tried to blow him up. But this doesn't slow him down in the least: he regains
consciousness post-explosion, is involved in a car chase and stops a
guy from committing suicide all in the opening minutes of the ep.
Michael is a man on a
mission, determined to find out who tried to kill him. He'll have several face-to-face meetings with Carla, trying to gauge
whether or not she was involved.
As for Sam, he's the lucky fellow who first finds Michael after the explosion and he's immediately aware that his BFF isn't as okay as he claims to be. However, despite the circumstances, Sam agrees to assist Michael in kidnapping a couple of men connected to the case of the week. And Sammy ain't in a Mr. Nice Guy mood, later inflicting some serious torture techniques on the two dudes they're interrogating.
Someone who is playing nice? Fiona. She gets stuck baby-sitting the
child of Michael's client, but is surprised when her maternal
instincts kick in. Also, Fi's personal life undergoes an unexpected change... which will be of particular
interest to fans of her relationship with Michael.
As for who rigged the explosion? Don't expect to find that out until later...
What else is ahead this year? A woman from Michael's past reappears... Michael and an old
foe get trapped in a bank robbery together... and Sam, Fiona and Michael go undercover as a gang of car thieves... Plus, look for Michael and
Carla to have a final showdown in the season finale.
